That was back in early summer, when I thought anything was possible, including leaving for a whole week just a month before the Luther Pecan Festival. I was still thrilled to have this New England a...

Currently zoned agricultural within town limits, the SUP aims to revive the station’s heyday as a tourist draw while honoring the Threatt family’s legacy. Johnson and Associates, an Oklahoma City planning firm behind projects like Bricktown’s Canal and Midtown Streetscapes, is handling the application.

The historic Threatt Filling Station, a Route 66 landmark once serving as a haven for Black travelers during Jim Crow, is poised for a modern rebirth. Threatt Legacy, LLC, has filed a specific use …

Home. A little limpy but determined and refreshed. We closed our New England adventure on Maine’s Old Orchard Beach (humming Noah Kahan the whole time) bc when you are a landlocked Okie that close to the ocean ... you must go. Grateful for a full week of fun, travel, work (pecan fest 🤎 and LRN 👩🏻‍💻) and learning how to better serve my community. Thank you Radically Rural Summit, Lenfest, RJI and Keene Sentinel. Let’s fly.

Oh! I can just “hear” the call that must have come in from the business that has to fish tires out of their dumpsters that someone else tossed in them. Reminder, big trash dump day is Oct 25 for town trash customers. Visit ’s page for details on whether you can dump tires on that day, but thinking probably not? (I reuse old tires for projects like a non-food planter and ideas Instagram shows me! Havent tried shoes yet!) 😉

As a reminder, do not dump your personal trash or junk in a park, school or private business trash dumpster.

Additionally, Eastside Waste Systems, Inc. has reported that several dumpsters have been being filled with inappropriate products.

Please see the list of items not allowed in dumpsters:

Concrete, Dirt, Rocks, Bricks, Steel or other Metal, Construction Debris, Hot Water Tanks, Large Furniture, Hazardous Waste, Tires
