Thank you for this awesome and unexpected present.

Adam and his father love to craft leather goods. They have been making items for not only my page but for (our leather keychains and dinner books). They have some of the best stuff out there.

Today I get a random package and notice Adam’s name on the return address and wonder what it could be? He made leather bands for watches, one brown (pictured) and one black leather with RM and Penelope logos for me.

I just walked into the office and noticed how the light was hitting the bottles on my shelf and thought it looked cool. So I grabbed my actual camera and shop it quickly. No edit, no effects, just point, focus and click.

I’m so excited to be apart of the judging panel for North America! I have had a passion for spirits for a long time and in 2025 I’ve turned that passion into something more than being a spectator.

Some information on how judges for IWSC, judge:

- The expertise of our judges and their seniority in their professional field, with a focus on judges who have commercial buying responsibility to help facilitate relationships

- Limiting samples to fewer than 65 per day, per judge to prevent palate fatigue

- Double-blind samples to ensure complete impartiality

- Small panels made up of judges with different professional experience, where discussion is a key part of the final decisions, to ensure a well rounded and fair decision.

So I will be heading to in June to help judge the 2025 IWSC Spirits and RTD categories for North America and I couldn’t be any more honored to be chosen. 😊

The Pact No. 11 for 2025. This year’s secret blend features a union of two well-bred bourbons – a 14-year ryed and a 10-year wheated – blended with an impressive 7-year ryed which was finished in barrels that held Añejo tequila.

I’ll crack it and give it 24 hours to open up to get a true review of notes tomorrow.
