Choral Accompaniment Tracks

This past Thursday and Friday, I had the privilege of serving as Collaborative Pianist for the 2026 Florida All-State Middle School Mixed Chorus under the direction of my friend, Ken Berg. This was my 19th year of accompanying Florida All-State choirs and I absolutely LOVE doing it!

It was such a joy working with Ken. He did such an amazing job of teaching them the art of making beautiful choral music but more importantly, he taught them some wonderful life lessons that I am certain they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. What’s funny is we dressed almost identically on our first day of rehearsals!

One of the absolute best parts of my trip though was reconnecting with some of my former students. I have missed them so very much and was so happy to see them. I even got to surprise a couple of them with their parent’s help!

It's MPA/LGPE season! Imagine having an accompanist in class with you every day! Very few of us have that luxury. And while accompaniment tracks are NEVER as good as having a live accompanist in the room with you, they CAN help bridge the gap between singing a ca****la and working with your accompanist in those few rehearsals before MPA/LGPE.
