BOE Meeting

The Crenshaw County Board of Education will meet Monday, June 8, 5:30 p.m. in the boardroom of the Joe R. Sport Administrative Building, 183 Votec Drive.

Mobile Screening

The Crenshaw County Health Department offers mobile mammography screening every second Tuesday each monthly. The next session is on June 9. Call (334) 747-4769 or visit the health department at 15 Hospital Drive in Luverne to schedule an appointment.

Genealogy Program

The Crenshaw County Historical Society will host a genealogy research program "Unearth Your Story" June 10, 10 - 11 a.m.

Book Club

The Word Nerds book club will meet Thursday, June 11, at the Luverne Public Library. All adult reading enthusiasts are invited to participate.

Responder Breakfast

A breakfast for all responders — fire, rescue, EMTs, law enforcement — is set for June 13, 9 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Luverne. All responders and their families are welcome to this free event.

Taste Crenshaw

Taste of Crenshaw will take place Tuesday, June 16, 6 p.m. at the Luverne United Methodist Church DEI Center. Tickets are $15 per person for non-Chamber members. RSVP to (334) 355-6200, (251) 379-2730 or [email protected].

Juneteenth Celebration

A Juneteenth Celebration featuring guest speaker, pastor George Stringer, will be held Friday, June 19, at 1- a.m. at the Luverne Multipurpose Senior Center, 317 South Forest Avenue.

Historical Museum

The Crenshaw County Historical Museum will hold its monthly open house Saturday, June 20, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Salter Reunion

The 2026 Gus Salter's Family Reunion will be held at the Double J Ranch Venue, 5328 Ivy Creek Road, Rutledge, on June 26-28, with a fish fry Friday night, and program starting Saturday at noon. The event is free, but donations are welcome.

The Crenshaw County Historical Museum will hold its monthly open house Saturday, July 18, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Talk Mt. Ida/Springhill

The Crenshaw County Historical Society is hosting Let's Talk Crenshaw - Mt. Ida/Springhill July 26, 2 p.m.

The Crenshaw County Historical Society will hold a business meeting Aug. 2, 2 p.m., at the Luverne Public Library to discuss its upcoming yard sale, Pioneer Day and Christmas open house.
