Many local business friends have talked to me about this, and they seem to think I am crazy when I say that I am not sure paid ads are a great option...
โ If you are in a business with a high-ticket sales item like roofing, then yes, ads could pay off big time. You could spend $2,000 a month on ads, and if you hit 2-3 times, it is more than worth it.
โ If you sell $12 candles, you could spend just $100 on ads, and you would have to hit 15-20 times just to break even!
When a marketer opens with paid ads as a solution, it is not necessarily wrong, but be sure that you have all of your free marketing in place, so that paid ads can be an accelerator for exposure, and not the desperation Hail Mary that needs to convert in order to pay the bills that month.
