🚨 LUZERNE COUNTY, 2056: THE PRICE OF PROGRESS?

Picture Luzerne County 30 years from now.

The farms are gone.

The forests have been cleared.

The quiet back roads are lined with massive industrial campuses stretching for hundreds of acres. Giant substations hum day and night. Transmission lines cut across what used to be open countryside.

And towering behind it all are the data centers.

Millions of square feet of concrete, steel, cooling equipment and electrical infrastructure—built to feed an increasingly digital world.

For decades, officials called it economic development.

They promised jobs.
They promised tax revenue.
They promised progress.

But then the questions became impossible to ignore:

How much electricity does the county consume?

How much water is being used?

Who ultimately pays for the roads, utilities and infrastructure required to support it?

What happens to the communities that existed before the servers arrived?

And perhaps the biggest question of all:

WHAT DID WE GIVE UP?

Because once farmland becomes an industrial campus and a forest becomes a substation, you don't simply press “undo.”

This isn't a prediction.

It's a warning about what could happen when decisions made today are measured only in immediate tax revenue and short-term economic growth.

Thirty years from now, our children and grandchildren will inherit the Luzerne County we build today.

The question is whether they'll look back and say:

“They built a prosperous future.”

—or—

“They sold our future one acre at a time.”

PLYMOUTH BOROUGH, LUZERNE COUNTY — What should have been a community festival reportedly turned violent when a large fight broke out and four gunshots were fired on August 8.

Police have now issued arrest warrants for eight men:

🔴 Alphonse Bartiromo, 18
🔴 Laron Pearsall, 18
🔴 Dashawn Reich, 18
🔴 Kameryn Devaney, 20
🔴 Tyler Musick, 21
🔴 Dezmund Harris, 21
🔴 Nehemiah Samuel, 21
🔴 Isaiah Featherstone, 26

According to the criminal affidavit, surveillance video allegedly captured members of the group fighting before Featherstone was seen pointing a gun. Four shots were then fired.

Police say Featherstone was wounded in the leg, while a nearby resident was struck by bullet fragments.

All eight face multiple charges, including riot with intent to commit a felony. Seven are additionally charged with rioting with a plan to use a gun.

A FESTIVAL.
A FIGHT.
GUNFIRE.
AN INJURED BYSTANDER.
EIGHT WARRANTS.

This wasn't just a disagreement—it allegedly escalated into gun violence at a public community event.

⚖️ All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

🚨 HERE’S A QUESTION AMERICA DOESN’T WANT TO ANSWER:

DO UNBORN BLACK LIVES MATTER? 👶🏿👶🏾👶🏽

I’ve asked hundreds of people.

The answer should be obvious.

YES.

But watch what happens when you add ONE word:

UNBORN.

Suddenly, the room gets quiet.

Suddenly, people who proudly proclaim “BLACK LIVES MATTER” aren't so quick to answer.

Why?

Because if BLACK LIVES MATTER, then shouldn't Black children matter before birth, too?

That isn't a trick question.

It's a question of consistency.

📊 LOOK AT THE NUMBERS.

According to CDC data, in the reporting areas that provided race and ethnicity information, Black women accounted for 39.5% of reported abortions in 2022.

The abortion rate among Black women was more than FOUR TIMES the rate among White women.

Four times.

And yet we're often told this subject shouldn't even be discussed.

Why not?

If a disproportionate number of Black children are being lost before they ever take their first breath, shouldn't that matter to everyone who genuinely believes Black lives have value?

And then there's the uncomfortable history.

Margaret Sanger—the founder of the organization that became Planned Parenthood—was deeply involved with the eugenics movement.

Even Planned Parenthood acknowledges Sanger's embrace of eugenic ideas and her associations with people and organizations involved in eugenics.

She even spoke to a women's auxiliary of the Ku Klux Klan in 1926.

That history deserves examination—not erasure.

But here's the bigger question:

WHY DOES A CHILD'S VALUE DEPEND ON WHETHER WE WANT THAT CHILD?

A baby doesn't become human when someone gives permission.

A baby doesn't become valuable when he or she is born.

And a child's worth doesn't depend on skin color, political ideology, wealth, disability, or whether that child was planned.

LIFE IS LIFE.

So I'm going to keep asking the question.

Not because it's comfortable.

Not because it's politically convenient.

But because somebody has to speak for the people who have no voice.

DO UNBORN BLACK LIVES MATTER?

If your answer is YES—then say YES.

And if you believe ALL Black lives matter...

ALL means ALL.

Born.

Unborn.

Every child.

Every life.

Every time.

✝️ At Millstone Ministries, we believe the protection of innocent children isn't a political slogan. It's a moral obligation.

🚨 HANOVER TOWNSHIP WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER POLICE SAY SHE FLED TRAFFIC STOP

HANOVER TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY — A 52-year-old Hanover Township woman is facing multiple charges after police say she fled from officers during an attempted traffic stop.

According to the Hanover Township Police Department, officers arrested Mary Beth Gachot following an attempted traffic stop on E. Saint Mary’s Road.

Police say Gachot allegedly fled or attempted to elude the officer rather than stopping for police.

Authorities say Gachot was subsequently located and taken into custody.

She is facing charges including:

🔴 Fleeing / Attempting to Elude Police
🔴 Possession of a Controlled Substance
🔴 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

The arrest was reported by the Hanover Township Police Department through CRIMEWATCH on September 4, 2026.

The investigation and resulting charges now move forward through the criminal justice system.

As always, an arrest is an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

🚨 LUZERNE COUNTY, WE NEED TO HAVE AN HONEST CONVERSATION ABOUT OVERDOSES

Maybe the "mystery" behind overdose deaths isn't so mysterious: STOP BUYING ILLEGAL DRUGS.

Luzerne County officials are warning about a recent uptick in fatal overdoses, including concerns that fentanyl is turning up in co***ne and methamphetamine.

And while politicians, bureaucrats and activists will undoubtedly come up with another round of programs, slogans and excuses, here's a brutally simple reality that shouldn't be controversial:

There wouldn't be overdoses from illegal co***ne, methamphetamine and fentanyl if people weren't illegally buying and consuming co***ne, methamphetamine and fentanyl in the first place.

Yes. We said it.

And we're not going to apologize for saying it.

Luzerne County's own 2025 District Attorney's report shows exactly how deeply these drugs are circulating in our community. The county Drug Task Force opened 302 cases in 2025 and seized approximately 1.7 kilograms of fentanyl, 879.78 grams of co***ne, 330 grams of crack co***ne and a staggering 6.25 kilograms of methamphetamine.

That's not somebody accidentally picking up the wrong prescription at CVS.

That's an illegal drug market.

And that market exists because there is demand.

💀 "I ONLY BOUGHT CO***NE."

Here's where things get even more disturbing.

Authorities are warning that fentanyl can find its way into co***ne and methamphetamine. That means somebody who thinks they're purchasing one illegal drug can potentially wind up consuming something far more deadly.

But let's be absolutely clear about what that DOES—and DOES NOT—mean.

It doesn't mean co***ne suddenly became safe.

It doesn't mean methamphetamine became safe.

It doesn't mean buying illegal drugs is suddenly somebody else's responsibility.

And it certainly doesn't mean society should pretend that consuming illegal narcotics is just an unfortunate lifestyle choice that taxpayers are obligated to endlessly subsidize.

The black market doesn't have quality control.

There is no FDA-approved label.

There is no pharmacist.

There is no guarantee of purity.

There is no legitimate manufacturer standing behind the product.

You are buying an illegal chemical from an illegal drug dealer.

And you have absolutely no idea what you're putting into your body.

That's the risk.

🚨 AND HERE'S THE PART NOBODY WANTS TO SAY

Luzerne County has actually made enormous progress in reducing overdose deaths.

According to the county's own report, confirmed overdose deaths fell to 79 in 2025, compared with approximately 250 deaths annually several years ago. The county called the decrease "steady" and "drastic."

So let's not sensationalize the numbers.

But if officials are now warning about a new increase in fatal overdoses, we should pay attention.

And perhaps we should also ask a brutally uncomfortable question:

Why are people still putting illegal narcotics into their bodies?

That's not a question the government can answer for them.

That's not a question the police can answer for them.

That's not a question a taxpayer-funded program can answer for them.

That's a personal decision.

And personal decisions have consequences.

🔥 STOP NORMALIZING IT

We've gotten to the point where some people are afraid to say the obvious because somebody might accuse them of being "judgmental."

Fine.

Judge us.

We believe co***ne is illegal.

We believe methamphetamine is illegal.

We believe illegally manufactured fentanyl is extraordinarily dangerous.

We believe drug dealers who put lethal substances into their products should be prosecuted.

And we believe adults are responsible for the decisions they make.

You don't have to be a scientist to understand that injecting, snorting, smoking or swallowing unknown illicit chemicals manufactured and distributed by criminals is an extraordinarily bad idea.

And when fentanyl is involved, the consequences can be fatal.

Pennsylvania's Overdose Information Network specifically tracks fatal and nonfatal overdoses, the drugs involved and overdose spikes across the Commonwealth.

Meanwhile, Luzerne County's own law-enforcement numbers demonstrate that fentanyl, co***ne and methamphetamine aren't theoretical threats. They're being seized right here in our communities.

🇺🇸 PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY STILL MATTERS

We can have compassion for families who lose somebody.

We can have compassion for parents who watch a child destroy his or her life.

We can have compassion for children who grow up in homes devastated by addiction.

But compassion does not require pretending illegal drugs are harmless.

And it certainly doesn't require pretending that the person making the decision to purchase and consume an illegal narcotic has absolutely no responsibility for that decision.

There is a difference between compassion and enabling.

There is a difference between helping somebody who genuinely wants to get their life back and endlessly making excuses for destructive behavior.

And there is a difference between acknowledging that fentanyl can contaminate other drugs and pretending that co***ne, methamphetamine and the illegal drug trade aren't themselves part of the problem.

THE BOTTOM LINE

Maybe the next conversation about Luzerne County's overdose problem shouldn't begin with:

"What else can taxpayers do?"

Maybe it should begin with:

"Why are people buying illegal drugs?"

Because here's something that shouldn't require a government study:

NO ILLEGAL DRUGS IN YOUR BODY = NO OVERDOSE FROM THOSE ILLEGAL DRUGS.

Personal responsibility isn't cruel.

Consequences aren't oppression.

And telling people the truth isn't hate.

It's time we stop treating the illegal drug epidemic like some mysterious force that simply happens to people.

The drugs are illegal. The dealers are criminals. The supply is dangerous. And choosing to consume it carries consequences.

That's not "judgment."

That's reality.

🚨 PARENTS: DID YOU KNOW YOU CAN REQUEST TO OPT YOUR CHILD OUT OF CERTAIN SCHOOL INSTRUCTION?

NORTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA — Many parents may not realize that Pennsylvania law gives them an important right when it comes to their children's education.

Under 22 Pa. Code § 4.4(d)(3), Pennsylvania school entities are required to have policies allowing parents or guardians to request that their child be excused from specific instruction that conflicts with their religious beliefs. The request must be made in writing.

That means parents don't necessarily have to simply accept every lesson, activity, or instructional material presented to their children without question.

Parents have the right to access information about their child's curriculum and instructional materials, and Pennsylvania regulations specifically recognize a parent's right to request an exemption from specific instruction when there is a conflict with sincerely held religious beliefs.

📝 HOW DOES IT WORK?

A parent can submit a written request identifying the specific instruction, program or activity from which they are requesting an exemption and explain that it conflicts with their religious beliefs.

The Pennsylvania Parent & Student Opt-Out Notice circulating among parents is designed to help families make such a request. Similar versions of the form are currently being distributed by Pennsylvania parental-rights organizations.

🇺🇸 PARENTS HAVE A VOICE

Schools are entrusted with educating children — but parents remain their children's primary advocates.

If you have concerns about what your child is being taught, ask questions. Review the curriculum. Request the instructional materials. And know what rights Pennsylvania law actually gives you.

Parents shouldn't have to discover these rights after a controversial lesson has already taken place.

Know your rights. Know what your children are being taught. And don't be afraid to ask questions.

This information is provided for educational purposes and is not legal advice. Parents should review their individual school district's policies and consult an attorney if they have questions about a particular exemption request.

Welcome to the parking lot of the Luzerne County Correctional Facility This is the buffoonery that our Luzerne County correctional officers have to deal with on a daily basis.

The homeless encampment of TENT CITY NEPA is less than 100 yards from the LCCF and 300 yards from the Luzerne County Courthouse

Despite police recently kicking everyone out, they are all back at it.

You know that stink you smell near the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital?? That's the wonderful heaps of garbage these people choose to live in.

When will LUZERNE COUNTY officials rip down tent city nepa and provide a safety measure between the unhoused and the correction officers/facility???

Maybe open IDK... actual homeless shelters 🤷🏼‍♂️ instead of cutting funding.

🔥 REPUBLICANS: STOP COMPLAINING. START SHOWING UP.

Let's be brutally honest.

Republicans don't need another Facebook argument. They don't need another angry comment section. They don't need another person screaming about how “this country is going downhill.”

They need VOTERS.

The political establishment understands something many conservatives apparently still haven't:

A vote you don't cast is a vote that doesn't count.

The graphic making the rounds puts the argument bluntly: low turnout can hand Democrats victories, while substantially higher Republican turnout can dramatically change the balance of power.

And here's the uncomfortable part:

Democrats don't magically “own” government.

Politicians hold power because enough people showed up and voted for them — or because their opponents stayed home.

Want lower taxes?
Want government spending reined in?
Want stronger borders?
Want tougher policies on crime?
Want conservative judges and legislators?
Want your elected officials held accountable?

Then GET OFF THE DAMN SIDELINES.

Because posting memes isn't voting.

Complaining isn't voting.

Saying “someone should do something” isn't voting.

SHOWING UP IS.

And if conservatives want different results in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania and across America, the answer isn't complicated:

STOP SITTING HOME.

REGISTER.
SHOW UP.
VOTE.
HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE.

Because you cannot complain about losing an election you couldn't be bothered to participate in.

🇺🇸 YOUR VOTE IS YOUR VOICE. USE IT.
