Innovative Faith Resources Wins Seven Awards at BCA 2025
Seven prestigious honors were awarded to Innovative Faith Resources at the 61st Annual Wilmer C. Fields Competition as part of the Baptist Communicators Association’s historic 70th Annual Workshop. The BCA members are made up of Baptist Organizations all over the globe, including Mission Boards, universities, and various media outlets.
Established in 1953, the BCA was designed to contribute to professional development by sharing ideas for effective and creative communication while encouraging distinction in various subfields, such as: public relations, av communications, photography, news writing, design, and others. Recognition of superior achievement in each of these areas is awarded each year in conjunction with their workshop…but it isn’t really about accolades. It’s about striving for excellence for the sake of the Gospel, as this year’s theme, “All in the Name of the Lord,” reflects.
IFR’s Chief Creative Officer, Brandon Pickett, counts it a privilege to serve the Lord in this capacity. “I am so grateful for this team of gifted professionals who do everything for God’s glory. Each story we tell, whether through video, print, or podcast, is really about what God is doing through His people and His church. And we have the unbelievable privilege to be the ones to tell it!”
The awards IFR received were all a part of the Audio-Visual Communications Division. They were honored in 7 categories, which included:
• First Place – Video: Storytelling - More than 3 minutes – Hawaii Pacific Baptist Convention (HPBC) Maui Fire Update
• Third Place - Video: Storytelling - More than 3 minutes - Martinsville Pregnancy Center
• First Place - Video: Event Coverage - More than 3 minutes – Night to Shine 2024
• First Place - Video: Event Coverage - 1-3 minutes – Student Fusion 2024 Highlight Video
• Second Place - Video: Promotion - 1-3 minutes - Sue Nishikawa (HPBC) - Overarching Video

• Second Place – Audio: Broadcast/Podcast Overall Show – Charles Billingsly
Jesse Stevens, the videographer and editor behind the five video-based awards, loves being able to travel, meet people, and bring their stories to life, but he gives all of the glory to God for any recognition his pieces achieved. “I am so thankful and humbled to be a part of the work God is doing [through IFR].” Jesse shared that his heart fully reflects the purpose of IFR, which is to “support ministries and non-profits around the world,” and their mission “to give God glory through media and financial services.”
