To our listeners and community,

Thank you all for participating in our surveys over the past couple of months to help find a name for the station! We're thrilled to announce that our station's name has been decided upon. In a close race, the narrow winner for the name is "The Lyndon Sting"!

We understand the importance of the history of the station, as well. So to honor our legacy, we have incorporated the station’s history into the new station’s slogan with, "Feel the Impulse!". We hope that with our new name and slogan, we can pay tribute to the past while simultaneously looking toward the future of a streaming radio on Lyndon’s campus.

Thank you for being such a wonderful community and for your support of our station. We hope that once we're streaming online (which we hope to get up and running soon), you will all tune in to The Lyndon Sting to "Feel the Impulse"!

We did not include every name submission in this survey- we picked a handful of names that our club and the VTSU administration believe would best suit the station. Even if your suggestion was not included in this survey, thank you very much for your ideas!

Hi, all,

We're currently accepting suggestions for the new name of our radio station as we switch to online streaming! We are unable to continue calling the station WWLR, as FCC law does not allow us to keep using this name (as we are no longer a traditional broadcast station).

As such, we're looking for the community's input in renaming the station! Please submit any ideas you might have! Keep in mind that the name must be appropriate and should speak to something related to the Lyndon campus or its mascot. Further details are in the form linked below:

Hello all,

Apologies for the late update- something is wrong with our transmitter, and therefore WWLR’s FM broadcast has been severely compromised for the past few weeks. We are not online yet, either. Hopefully, this broadcast issue will be solved quickly. Thank you for sticking with us!
