This is a great idea!

December is one of the best times to get a head-start on next year’s blooms by sowing perennials from seed OUTSIDE.

Winter sowing isn’t about forcing spring early, it’s about working with nature. Many perennials (think native wildflowers, hardy herbs, even shrubs and grasses) need a period of cold, moist dormancy — “cold-moist stratification” — in order for their seed coat to soften and trigger germination.

By sowing now, you’re giving seeds exactly what they need to awaken on nature’s timetable. But you can't just throw the seeds on the soil and expect results. Here's what you need to do... (in comments)

Soft & Chewy Mint Chocolate Chip Pudding Cookies

Ingredients:
• 1 cup sugar
• ½ cup softened butter
• 1 egg
• ½ cup sour cream
• 1 box instant vanilla pudding mix (3.4 oz)
• ½ tsp salt
• ½ tsp baking soda
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 2 tsp mint extract
• Blue + green food coloring
