🚨🇬🇲 The Stadium Belongs to All Gambians
We’ve noticed a troubling double standard in discussions about our stadiums:
When we post about President Adama Barrow or Minister Bakary Badjie regarding stadium issues, fans often leave hateful or insulting comments, despite them holding public office.
But when Lawyer Darboe talks about building 2–3 stadiums if elected, some people claim it’s “disrespectful” to post about him just because fans are disrespecting him in the comments section.
How is it okay to insult President Barrow or Minister Bakary Badjie every day, but not okay to share ideas from someone else?
Our position is clear: any presidential candidate or public figure speaking about stadiums will be shared here on Gamfoot this platform belongs to all Gambians whether it’s Halifa Sallah, Mama Kandeh, or anyone else. The stadium and The Gambia belong to all citizens, not to Barrow, Darboe, or anyone individually.
Let’s stop picking and choosing whose ideas it’s okay to criticize.
Some of you are mocking the president and minister everyday with hurtful names but when Lawyer Darboe speak on the stadium we have an ” agenda ” suddenly.
Gamfoot is not NPP or UDP all we are intresstwd in is pitches, stadiums and how our football can improve, stop politicking everything.
