Tucked away in the quiet town of Lyons, Spirits of Marco stands as a 150+ year old testament to faith, community, and shared spiritual space. Originally built by the people of the town, this historic church welcomed not only Christians, but Methodists, Pagans, and followers of many local belief systems, making it a rare and deeply inclusive place of worship.

Its rich history can be felt the moment you step inside, woven into the aged walls, intricate architecture, and the glow of its stunning stained glass windows. Every corner seems to hold a story, every shadow a memory. Reports of high paranormal activity echo throughout the space, believed by many to be the presence of past churchgoers and townspeople who met their own fates, yet may still walk within the rooms, returning to the place that once brought them worship and solace.

We at The Forgotten Pentacle highly recommend experiencing Spirits of Marco and exploring Lyons for yourself.. because this is a place where the past does not rest… it lingers, breathes, and remembers.

The following video is from our investigation at Spirits of Marco..

In this clip, the team turns toward the back of the main room, right where DJ and Heather had just reported seeing a tall, black shadow figure only moments before.

As Apple calls out, asking if the spirit is still up there… a small, distorted orb makes its presence known, appearing directly on camera.

Coincidence… or something making itself seen?

Our second post from our Spirits of Marco investigation.

Co-founder, Apple, was walking in to clarify that we were still in an abandonment session when suddenly, off to the right, inside what was once the church’s office, a tall, dominating male figure appeared.

It was dressed in an all-white gown, standing still yet commanding, its presence immediately overwhelming and impossible to ignore.

During an abandonment session, a chilling exchange came through, what sounded like a spirit describing being locked inside, unable to leave with the team. A brief but powerful moment that left us with more questions than answers.
