Happy Labor Day Weekend! I hope you all get the chance to relax and try some new restaurants. Larder Delicatessen & Bakery is one to add to your list- and heading into Cleveland this weekend seeing the Blue Angels practicing was so cool! Larder started in 2018, and is James Beard Award nominated ( a HIGH honor for a chef or restaurant). They’re famous for their pastrami sandwiches, but they have chicken, fish, and vegan options- tons of sides, and pickled everything! My mom loved the pickled watermelon. They also make sodas in house and you can add egg cream- I had a spiced plum one- so refreshing. Their baked goods are beautiful, I got a slice of chocolate babka- it was MASSIVE! I went next door to Rising Star and grabbed a coffee for the babka. This restaurant is located in Hingetown, the vibe is awesome! And the restaurant is in an old firehouse. We walked and saw shops around and saw homes. I felt like I was in the south with some of these gorgeous older homes- the woodwork on some of them was amazing. Have you been to Larder?

Every time people ask me about a spot they should check out, I will ALWAYS tell them purplebrown farmstead is where they need to go. If you love farmers markets, this is the spot for you. It started out of the necessity for local farms and businesses to have a consistent place to sell their goods. This store is open 6 days a week- closed on Mondays. So many local produce, breads, cookies, syrups, soaps, coffees, dairy, tinctures, sauces, beans, grains, jams, meats, and SO MUCH MORE! This is across from the Cuyahoga Valley towpath, the railroad, and behind the Winking Lizard in the Village of Peninsula. While you’re there, check out the Peninsula coffee shop too! In a perfect world, I’d love to live in the Village Of Peninsula! I love walking around there, my heart feels so happy! Have you been to this store? What is your favorite product?

It’s Monday — let’s talk MARKET! 🔍
I pulled data from the top 16 school districts I work in and ranked them by affordability, using active listings only AND BASED ON PRICE PER SQ. FT(right column)

I looked at:
1️⃣ Avg. list price of active single-family homes
2️⃣ Avg. square footage

From there, I calculated the price per sq ft and ranked from most affordable to most expensive (see graphic below 👇)

*Active = available to make an offer (not under contract).

😮 Surprised by the rankings? Some districts span multiple cities (ex: Cuyahoga Falls also includes Silver Lake).
