Shared this at work and after I was one of the first to have my toes stepped on, I thought maybe this word is for someone else out there, too.

It's extremely difficult to extend grace upon grace upon grace to someone that you know despises and resents you (at least for the season). Can you imagine the level of... I don't even know what to call it... that Jesus had to have to keep carrying the cross up the hill and allowing them to spit on him, mock him, all while He was fulfilling the ultimate action of love/obedience to grant salvation, forgiveness, and relationship with the Father to those very same people that mocked and spit on Him? Phew! I can't fathom how hard that had to have been for his fleshly side.

Lord, help us to extend the portion of grace to others that YOU call us to give to others on this day, as YOU pour out Your grace on us.

Please pray for the CHH community, but more importantly, for Chris Chicago’s family. He went home to be with the Lord today. He had been battling cancer. I never got to actually meet Chris Chicago. I listened plenty of times and watched from afar as God used him as a media personality. I was always challenged and inspired to keep growing as a host. My show is better than it once was, because of his influence on it in some ways. He had such a great personality on his show. Uniqely himself!

He impacted more people than we’ll ever know. I thank God for the gift that was Chris Chicago. May the Holy Spirit comfort his family and surround them with people to walk with them and help as they mourn.

He will be missed.
