Those little moments you won’t get back!

You have to enjoy them while they are present. As months go by and years pass these little moments will be a distant memory.

When your baby looks at you and smiles, because to them, you are EVERYTHING!
The moment they grab your had and hold on tight without being asked.
They give you a hug and kiss and say “I love you” because they haven’t told you in the past hour.
The first word, first steps, first Everything.

The joys of parenthood, the little things that keep you going.

When someone says “I don’t know what I’d do without my mom”, I just pause and sit quietly. In all honesty, I still haven’t figured that out.

I don’t know how to explain what it feels like to live in a world where her voice is gone.
Where I can’t just call her when life gets heavy.
Where I can’t hear her advice, her laugh, or even her silence on the other end of the phone.

It’s been almost a year since she’s gone, and I still don’t know what I’d do without her.

Every time I pick up the phone to share news, exciting or not, she is the first person I want to call. I wish I could just tell her about my day.

I wish she could’ve seen her grandkids grow.
She is missing all of their milestones, and she didn’t even get to meet the last one.

She didn’t even get to tell me goodbye,…

If only….

Good thing it’s not about the money to me.

My Child’s happiness is all that matters to me. If I can take care of her, that’s all I’m worried about. This order was set in place 10 years ago and my child’s father only pays “when he feels like it” or when they call and tell him he needs to make a payment or they will pursue other enforcements.

He hasn’t contacted his child in almost 3 years, and the last conversation he had with my child, he told her he wouldn’t care if she died. This came about a week after my child’s grandmother passed, which was very hard on my child.

When she used to go over there regularly, her father and his family would always trash talk me and my spouse. Would try to make us look like the bad people. I never once spoke bad about them, and I only corrected their words if I felt I needed to. Other than that, I left it alone because I knew one day my child would be old enough to understand and would come to her own decision on who was “right” and who was “wrong”.

I am so sorry most children with split families go through similar situations and it is not fair to the children at all. We as parents don’t want this for our children. But staying in toxic situations are much worse than showing them that even though there are bad situations, there can also be good healthy relationships too. ❤️
