The Noxubee County Election Commission has certified the results of the special election run-off tonight.

Sheriff:
Tedrick Liddell: 1285
Dontevis Smith: 1259

Coroner:
Montrell Rucker: 1449
Diana Hughes-Stevenson: 1061

Election Commission District 5:
Krystal Boswell: 151
Margaret Brewer: 180

The Noxubee Election Commission is refusing to certify winners in the special election runoff tonight because of questions they have about 14 absentee ballots - BUT, even without those 14 votes, Tedrick Liddell is set to win the race for sheriff: 1,282 to 1,249. Liddell can be sworn in and take office as soon as the election is certified - whenever that might be.
In the race for coroner, Montrell Rucker is also
expected to be the winner: 1,440 to 1,057.
In the race for Beat 5 Election Commissioner, Margaret Brewer is predicted to win: 180 to
151.

Let’s show up in force and line the street to show community support and give our Tigers a rousing send-off as they head to Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville to compete in the 3A State Championship game against the Raleigh Lions at 12 noon. Christmas Parade rescheduled

After tracking the weather for tomorrow, the Noxubee Alliance Executive Board has agreed to reschedule the Christmas Parade from tomorrow, December 4, @ 6 p.m. to Tuesday, December 9 at 6 p.m., downtown Macon - due to inclement weather.
