Today would have been Jim Barnette’s 60th birthday.

Jim, a Baptist pastor, and professor loved the Allman Brothers Band and served as Oteil’s pastor; he was a brother to the brothers.

Jim mentored Jake Hall while he was a student at Samford University along with a couple of other generations of compassionate Baptists.

Today the H and H Cafeteria serves one of its signature brunch dishes, the “Ramblin’ Man,” in memory and honor of our preacher, pastor, mentor, and friend, Jim Barnette.

Ramble on’ Jim.
