Happy album release day to Marcus King, whose new record "Darling Blue" drops today! King recorded the album at Capricorn Sound Studios. Here's what he told "Garden & Gun" about his reason for coming here: "We wanted to record at Capricorn in Studio A to capture the energy of that room. I mean, Otis Redding’s piano is still there. I got to play one of Gregg Allman’s bass guitars on a song. It helped put us at ease, as we felt right at home there pretty immediately." In the 1970s, Capricorn Records bought a twin-engine Cessna plane to fly executives and artists across the country for promotion and publicity. They called the outfit the "Capricorn Airborne Division."
