Across all Mercer locations, total enrollment has surpassed 9,000 students and is approaching 10,000. The Macon residential campus alone has enrolled approximately 3,500 students.

Mercer University is welcoming its largest incoming class in school history, with more than 1,100 students.

“One thing that I noticed from Warner Robins High School is that administrators, teachers and students have a tremendous amount of pride in their school,” said Tangela Brice, licensed clinical social worker and coordinator of Student Services. “It’s been really important to reassure them that one event doesn’t define their experience.”

Counselors are working with students who are struggling to return to normal.

“We know that wearing red and black is not going to change the tragic event that happened,” said April Bragg, president and CEO of the Robins Regional Chamber. “But it is a visible sign of support to those students, teachers, faculty and families.”

Students returned to Warner Robins High School Monday for the first time since a 9th grader was shot on campus last week.
