We are SO EXCITED ... and tired. We just sent to House of Print a 28 Page (the largest one we have ever produced) paper dedicated to the Madelia Baseball Team's State Championship. The support and excitement that we got for this project is astounding. It will hit newsstands this afternoon and mailboxes Thursday for in-town subscribers. We truly hope it does justice to the historic accomplishments of this team ... and this community's love and support of them. Go Blackhawks! 😍

Congratulations Tate!!! You have been outstanding representing yourself and Madelia as high character young person while being a high level athlete! Blackhawk Nation is proud of you and you have inspired many kids to emulate who you are and what you have accomplished at both the team and individual level!

Madelia's Tate Becker is this year's All-Journal Baseball Player of the Year.

The last play of the State Championship!! Senior, Dalton Tatro sacrifice fly to right scores his cousin, Senior, Tate Becker. This run gave the Blackhawks a 10 run lead in the bottom of the 6th....a win by run-rule starts a State Title celebration for the team and all of Madelia! Way to get the chip Blackhawks!!!
