Here's a little blurb I came up with to tell the story of how OTRR got started:

I’ve never played an instrument, but I’ve always been drawn to live music — the local shows, the underground scenes, the bands grinding it out on small stages with big passion. For years, I wanted to contribute to that world in a real way. I didn’t want to be on the sidelines cheering it on; I wanted to help build something that supported the artists who make these scenes matter.

So in 2023, I created On The Rail Radio — a platform where independent, emerging, and underground musicians could actually be heard. No gatekeeping, no algorithms deciding who gets a shot. Just a space built by someone who loves the scene and wants to give back to it.

What started as one idea and a lot of heart has grown into a full station with multiple shows, festival coverage, in‑studio interviews, and more than 950 bands on the air. On The Rail Radio exists because the underground deserves a home — and I’m proud to help build it.
