When Everything Falls Apart
Warning this is a real raw post!
Earlier this week I sent out my "Weekly Dose" which is an email I send to those on my email list about once a week.
I’ve joked that recently my “weekly” dose has felt more like a monthly immunotherapy infusion in the day treatment center at my hospital than the consistent, nourishing rhythm I intended.
And for that—I’m sorry.
But the truth is… this season has been hard. And sometimes you just struggle to give any more of you to encourage others.
The past weeks have not just been the usual "busy" but more like
That's where the Lord steps in! We need Him in our weakness!
The past weeks have been not just the usual "busy" but more like
gut-wrenching, surrender-everything-all-over-again kind of hard.
It started with fatigue.
Then fog.
Then a deep, spiritual heaviness that wouldn’t lift.
And just when I thought I was coming out of it…
My family went through major challenges.
Ministry momentum seemed to stall.
The ground I thought I had gained began to shake again.
This all came after what looked like victory:
✅ A successful retreat
✅ Fruitful assignments
✅ Fresh revelation
✅ Even breakthroughs in my family...
Then everything started unraveling.
I want to remind you of this scripture because sometimes these seasons are a time of spiritual warfare, and we have to address it as such.
Maybe you’ve been there.
Maybe you are there right now.
I want to remind you of this scripture because sometimes these seasons are a time of spiritual warfare and we have to address it as such.
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” – 1 Peter 5:8
Let me remind you:
The enemy will try to exhaust you, isolate you, and steal your clarity.
But he cannot cancel your calling!
And he certainly can’t override the grace of God.
Here is what I am doing and I believe this will help you too.
✝️ Go to Jesus. No pretense. Just raw honesty. Sit at his feet.
✝️ Repent for anything you've agreed with that isn’t truth.
✝️ Renounce every lie—"I’m alone,” “I’m not enough,” “God has left me.”
✝️ Receive fresh strength.
✝️ Surrender again. All of it! Lay it ALL down
✝️ Pick up your sword—yes, the Word. Speak it. Stand on it.
Take the next step. Even if it’s small.
Obedience to God and worship is your warfare.
“Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.” – Matthew 4:11
“We wrestle not against flesh and blood…” – Ephesians 6:12
You can say this out loud in your prayer time with the Lord.
“I am not forsaken. I am upheld by the right hand of God. I surrender completely, and the Lord strengthens me with His might. I walk by the Spirit and not by the flesh. I am hidden in Christ, covered by His blood, and armed with His Word. My steps are ordered, my heart is guarded, and my hope is anchored in the unshakable truth of God’s promises.”
Perhaps you find yourself in a season of daily surrender as well.
Remember that your weakness is made strength in Him.
If this resonated, drop a or let me know you're in a similar place.
You’re not alone in the struggles. He got you.
