On today’s Crossing the Aisle, Shaun and Lindsey actually agree: it’s time to put junk science on trial. For decades, prosecutors leaned on flashy forensics—bite marks, hair comparisons, even dog scent lineups—that sounded convincing in court but had no real scientific backing.

We’ll take you from the 1979 conviction of Ted Bundy—where bite mark evidence helped seal the deal—to the heartbreaking cases of Kennedy Brewer and Levon Brooks, two Mississippi men sent to prison for crimes they didn’t commit, based on that same discredited technique. And now there’s Jimmie Duncan—released from death row after new experts called the bite-mark evidence “false and misleading,” and a judge found him factually innocent.

Together, we’ll explore how this kind of “science” passed as justice, how many lives it’s ruined, and why prosecutors, judges, and juries kept buying into it for so long. Plus: what real reform could look like—and whether the system can ever rebuild trust after getting it so tragically wrong.

📞 Call in between 12–1pm at 601-879-0002 and join the conversation.

Sean “Diddy” Combs was found guilty on two federal charges—but not guilty on the biggest one. Was the jury right? Did the feds overreach? Or did Diddy’s money and fame protect him from real accountability?

Shaun says the prosecution got ahead of the facts. Lindsey says the pattern of abuse was impossible to ignore.
Call in between 12pm–1pm and tell us: Was the Diddy verdict fair—or federal theater?

🎙️ Crossing the Aisle: “Deals, Delusions, and Deepfakes”
🗓️ This Week’s Show

🚨 Jackson swears in Mayor John Horhn, promising stability, competence, and (hopefully) functioning streetlights. Meanwhile, former mayor Chokwe Lumumba is reportedly preparing for a different kind of inauguration—one involving a jumpsuit and a Bureau of Prisons ID.

🤖 On Capitol Hill, the Senate quietly drops the AI regulation ban from the Big Beautiful Bill, proving once again that when no one understands something, the best move is to do absolutely nothing about it.

🎤 In a moment of bipartisan whiplash, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.—now officially HHS Secretary under President Trump—delivers a shockingly good interview with Tucker Carlson. Lindsey swoons. Shaun nods. Dogs and cats are living together. Is RFK Jr. the first cabinet member to unite America or just the first to livestream his kombucha recipes from the West Wing?

💥 And yes, Elon and Trump are beefing again—this time about free speech, AI chips, or whose rocket is longer. Who even knows anymore?

06/30/2025

Two firefighters are dead and another wounded after a shocking ambush in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, where a gunman allegedly set a wildfire to lure first responders into a deadly trap. Lindsey and Shaun debate what this attack says about rising violence, rural extremism, and how we protect those who run toward danger. Was this terrorism, mental illness, or something else? And what policies—if any—can prevent the next tragedy?

🎙️ Crossing the Aisle — Today at 12PM on 103.9 WYAB

The Supreme Court drops two major culture war rulings—and for once, Shaun and Lindsey actually agree… at least on one of them.

📚 LGBTQ Book Opt-Out – The Court says schools must let parents excuse their kids from LGBTQ-themed reading lessons. Both Shaun and Lindsey support the decision, calling it a win for parental rights and religious freedom—even if they got there for different reasons.

🔞 P**n Site Age Verification – But the truce ends fast. The Court also upheld Texas’s law forcing adult websites to verify users’ ages. Lindsey says it’s common sense to protect kids. Shaun says it’s a dangerous attack on privacy and free speech.

Two rulings, one agreement, and one fiery fight.
Tune in at 12PM on 103.9 WYAB for today’s Crossing the Aisle—where even when they agree, it doesn’t stay peaceful for long.

Today at 12PM on Crossing the Aisle:

Mississippi has executed Richard Gerald Jordan nearly 50 years after his conviction. Was justice finally served—or did the state wait too long? We’ll debate the ethics and deterrence of the death penalty.

Shaun brings a unique perspective, having served as lead prosecutor in the James Cobb Hutto capital murder trial, which resulted in a death sentence in Hinds County back in 2013. Don’t miss this insider take on how the system really works—and where it might fall short.

Join Shaun and Lindsey for a sharp, bipartisan conversation on crime, punishment, and the price of justice.

🎙 Today at 12pm on Crossing the Aisle
Special Guest: Morgan Charleigh of Women’s Wellness of Mississippi

Lindsey goes solo today for a special Crossing the Aisle interview with Morgan Charleigh, of Women’s Wellness of Mississippi, the clinic that’s changing the game when it comes to hormone replacement therapy, weight loss, and med spa services in the Magnolia State.

We’ll talk about the science behind feeling better, looking younger, and reclaiming your energy—without a trip to Miami. Morgan shares how her clinic is helping women (and men!) across Mississippi take control of their health, their hormones, and their confidence.

👩‍⚕️💉💪 Whether you’re battling fatigue, struggling to lose weight, or just want a little help glowing from the inside out—don’t miss this conversation with one of the state’s rising voices in wellness.

And we’re thrilled to welcome Women’s Wellness of Mississippi as the newest sponsor of Crossing the Aisle!

Crossing the Aisle — LIVE today at 12pm on 103.9 WYAB / Facebook / YouTube

The Israel-Iran ceasefire lasted about five minutes before both sides went right back to lobbing missiles. We’ll break down the latest and what it means for the U.S.

Also: A D.C. jury just awarded $500,000 to the widow of Capitol Police Officer Jeffrey Smith, who died by su***de after the Jan. 6 riot. The attacker? A chiropractor who used Smith’s own baton against him—and later got a Trump pardon.

Middle East chaos and January 6 fallout — we’re covering both sides. Tune in at noon.

🎙️ Crossing the Aisle — Friday at 12pm on WYAB 103.9 FM / Facebook Live / YouTube

America has officially launched military strikes against Iran.
Is this the start of another endless war? Or a necessary stand against a hostile regime?

🟦 Shaun says we’ve learned nothing from Iraq and are sleepwalking into disaster.
🟥 Lindsey says Iran is a threat to global security and it’s about time we acted.

Tomorrow on Crossing the Aisle, the gloves are off as we debate:
• What the airstrikes mean for American troops and allies
• How Congress, the President, and the media are spinning it
• Why the MAGA movement is divided over this war
• And whether we’re once again fighting a war based on fear instead of facts

Tune in Friday at 12pm. WYAB 103.9 FM / Facebook Live / YouTube.
