Everything I've learned in 2026 to heal my Nervous System đź’•
Some of these may sound unhinged, but I'm calmer than I've been in years.

1. Protecting my cortisol levels by cutting out caffeinated drinks. My nervous system feels SO much calmer without the constant spikes and crashes... but it also really depends on the day.

2. Stopping sugary drinks because the blood sugar crashes were making my anxiety, irritability, and energy levels so much worse than I realized.

3. Drinking warm bone broth morning and night. This has honestly made one of the biqgest differences for me personally. It feels grounding, calming, nourishing, and comforting to my body,

4. Spending way less time on my phone because I noticed too much scrolling makes me feel overstimulated, irritated, disconnected, and mentally exhausted. But also still guilty of this some days. We aren't focused on perfection here.

5. Getting outside daily because fresh air, sunlight, and nature regulate me almost instantly.

6. Moving my body more because humans were never meant to sit inside all day staring at screens and TVs. Movement changes everything mentally and physically

7. Completely removing alcohol because even small amounts made my nervous system feel dysregulated afterward

8. Using my vibration plate almost daily because it helps me feel calmer, more grounded, and less tense

9. Using my red light mask consistently as part of slowing down and creating calming routines for myself.

10. Protecting my peace from constant negativity, chaos, gossip, and draining conversations.

11. Intermittent fasting... it has completely cleared up my brain fog too. Such a huge difference in how I feel. We aren't meant to eat constantly throughout our days.

Wait there's more, but I'll post more on the next one...

What would you add to this list?

1. Drinking coffee before eating anything
I thought I just “needed caffeine.”
Turns out my body needed food first.

2. Being in a rush all day
Constant rushing tells your body:
something is wrong.

3. Always having background noise on
TV. Podcast. Music. Scrolling.
My brain never got quiet.

4. Checking my phone the second I woke up. I was starting my day with stress before my feet even hit the floor.

5. Feeling guilty every time I rested
I thought slowing down meant being lazy.

6. Being overstimulated and calling it “mom life.” Noise, touching, questions, screens, mess. I thought I just had to deal with it.

7. Pushing through when I was exhausted
My body was asking for rest.
I kept giving it pressure.

8. Thinking I had to answer everyone right away. Texts. Calls. Messages.
Everything felt urgent.

9.Living off fruit and quick snacks.
Blood sugar crashes can feel a lot like anxiety.

10. Never sitting down without multitasking. Even “resting” had a to-do list attached.

11. Calling survival mode productivity
I thought I was getting things done.
Really, I was running on stress.

12. Staying around drama because “they're family or friends.” My nervous system doesn’t care who it is. Stress is stress.

13. Ignoring tension in my body
Jaw tight. Shoulders up. Stomach in knots.

My nervous system was exhausted.

When did feeling your emotions become something to “fix”… instead of something to understand?

Unpopular opinion: you’re not too emotional… you’re finally feeling things you’ve been pushing down for years.
Motherhood didn’t make you weak.
It woke you up.

It brought things to the surface, made you more aware, more connected, more real. And yeah, that can feel intense… but it’s also where the healing starts.

I’ve learned something… every time I said yes when I really wanted to say no, my nervous system noticed.

I used to think protecting everyone else’s feelings meant I was being kind. I thought overexplaining myself made me a “good person.” But honestly? Constantly stretching yourself too thin, people pleasing, and feeling guilty for having boundaries gets exhausting.

I’m starting to realize that "no" doesn’t always need a long explanation attached to it. Protecting your time, energy, and peace isn’t selfish… it’s self-respect. And the right people won’t require you to betray yourself just to keep them comfortable. 💕

I’m curious… what boundary took you the longest to learn?

Everything I've learned in 2026 to heal my Nervous System 🌸
Some of these may sound unhinged, but I'm calmer than l've been in years.

1. Protecting my peace from constant negativity, chaos, gossip, and draining conversations.

2. Spending less time around people who make me feel emotionally unsafe or drained.

3. Slowing down my mornings instead of immediately rushing and overstimulating myself.

4. Getting better sleep and taking sleep seriously instead of treating exhaustion like a personality trait.

5. Eating more nourishing foods instead of constantly living off convenience foods.

6. Letting myself rest without feeling guilty for it.

7. Regulating my nervous system before reacting when I’m overwhelmed.

8. Listening to my body more instead of constantly pushing through stress and burnout.

9. Creating a home environment that feels peaceful, cozy, and safe to my nervous system.

10. Practicing gratitude because stress and gratitude cannot fully exist in the same space at the same time.

Realizing healing isn’t always about adding more supplements, routines, and hacks… sometimes it’s removing what’s dysregulating you in the first place.
