Our 2021 editorial philosophy: Out Of The Dark

Some of our most important moments happen in the dark: the peaceful, the tragic, the joyful. We work to reveal how the people of Wisconsin embrace the dark, expose injustices in the shadows and highlight the unseen with a celebration of the darkness. In this issue of Curb, we will explore the stories rooted in the dark – both literally and metaphorically.

“In my career, I’ve never met a librarian who’s not willing to put their career on the line to defend the First Amendment or intellectual freedom, and I’m one of them. It’s a hill that I feel that librarians are called upon to die on if they have to.”
