Karen Endres, coordinator of Wisconsin’s Farmer Wellness Program, remembers the first farmer she helped. He felt overwhelmed and unable to find mental health support. After she connected him with the right provider, the farmer’s son told him: “Dad, you’re laughing and you’re smiling again.”

Farmers are three and a half times more likely to die by su***de than the general population — and across “America’s Dairlyand,” advocates are working to change that by breaking stigma and expanding care.
