60 years ago, Frank Sinatra released “September of My Years.” This ballad concept album about coming to terms with middle age (by the 49-year-old singer) was his fifth collaboration with orchestral arranger Gordon Jenkins. It reached #5 Billboard and retains excellent reviews, featuring standards like “Hello, Young Lovers” “September Song” “It Was a Very Good Year” + the title track.
