UW Health recently documented Max Ink Radio and Maximum Ink music magazine founder Rökker's journey from dying on stage playing drums with his band Ironplow on December 26, 2024 to his triumphant come-back show on September 14, 2025 at Crucible Madison.

The footage and press release is sent out to news outlets locally, regionally and nationally. News 3 Now / Channel 3000 jumped on the story right away as October is Sudden Cardiac Awareness Month.

Our Story

Maximum Ink music magazine has been publishing a monthly print magazine since 1996.

In 2011, Maximum Ink launched an internet radio station with the name Max Ink Radio. The station featured many dj’s and shows and after 7 years of broadcasting Max Ink Radio went into hiatus due to music licensing challenges in the internet radio industry that made it very hard for any small stations to operate.

Max Ink Radio broadcasts Saturday and Sunday (repeat) from 6-9pm on TALK 92.7 FM Madison and TALK 101.7FM Milwaukee as well as streaming online at www.talk927fm.com. Max Ink Radio is a local radio music show in Madison and Milwaukee, Wisconsin area with hosts Jimmy K and Rökker.

The show features plenty of local music from past and present artists as well as interviews, show previews, and much more! Archives of every show are posted the Monday after the show on www.maxinkradio.com along with interviews and Rökker’s Closet.
