"Tuned In" is a rom-com set in the 2000s about a connection that forms over the radio. The night takes an unexpected turn for radio host Jeff when he receives a call from an avid listener named Lucy. The two fill the airwaves with a discussion about their shared love for music but the conversation turns deeper as the night progresses. Ultimately, Jeff is left to wonder if a connection can truly form over the radio.

For all those who had the chance to be on our set, you know that, while we work hard, the After 8 Crew also likes to have fun!! 🤩

Kristyn (our AC) made sure we had fun between every take assigning a word to each new set up letter! What better way to use our video editing skills than to put together a compilation…😎😅

was our home away from home for a week during principal photography!! 📻🎶🎙️

The WORT FM community welcomed us into their space and helped us out TREMENDOUSLY!! Whether it be through board training to teach us how to look like a radio host on-screen, letting us decorate the space with WALE props, or having radio hosts turn down their tunes while filming, WORT couldn’t have been more flexible and accommodating! 🤗

We couldn’t have asked for a better radio station or people to work with!! We can’t wait to show you all (especially the WORT community) what we’ve created at our premiere on May 4th! 🎬🎥

What did After Eight do for Spring Break?? 🏝️☀️

🎬🤗WE FILMED A MOVIE!!!! 🥳🎥

We spent last week shooting scenes from our film “Tuned In!” Not only was it productive and a great learning experience, it was also super fun!!

There are a lot of people who put in the hard work needed to make this happen and who helped us out along the way so we wanted to start our recap posts by saying thank you!! ❤️

To all the smiling faces in these photos and the many other people to whom we owe our gratitude, we wanted you to know that we appreciate you!!

Exciting news!! We had our first shoot!! 🎥🎬

This past Monday we filmed one of our scenes at The Cardinal Bar! 🎺The scene we filmed is set in a jazz club in Jeff’s imagination. He is vibing to the music when someone unexpectedly appears...

There was a lot of talent on set with help from a UW-Madison jazz quartet, our amazing crew and PAs, and, of course, our cast!! It was so cool to see everyone in action and working together to get some beautiful footage. 😄

Many thanks go out to Marigold Kitchen for feeding our hard-working crew🥗, to our Jazz quartet (Noah, Alex, Jan, and Zach)🎶, to the Cardinal Bar🪩, and to everyone who has supported us along the way!! 🤗

The After Eight Crew has one important thing to say…THANK YOU!

With your support during our fundraiser, we were able to raise $5,220!! 🤩 We also have a number of food donations lined up to supply our craft service table!! 🥗🥪

We could not be more grateful for all the support and encouragement we have received during the last few months!! ❤️

Now, the fun begins!! With our first shoot yesterday and principal photography only 2 weeks away, we cannot WAIT to show you what we have been working on!! 👀
