Scattered storms are expected overnight. There is a small chance some of the storms could be severe, with gusty winds and minor hail being the only expected hazards, along with heavy rainfall. These showers and storms will continue into the morning for the Fourth of July, but we'll be mostly dry and sunny by the afternoon and evening, with just a very isolated chance of a pop-up storm. However, temperatures will be hot, with highs near 90° and heat indices in the mid-90s. Showers and thunderstorms will return Saturday late afternoon with the rain/storm threat continuing Saturday night, ending Sunday.
