My heart is broken as I think about the tragedy and loss that has happened and the extreme emotional havoc being wreaked in the minds of those still searching for their loved ones, trying to make sense of it all.
Floodwaters swept through Kerr County in Central Texas early Friday morning. The Guadalupe River rose 26 feet in under an hour. Homes, camps, kids, adults and entire families were caught in it before they had a chance to react.
At least 51 people have died, both adults and children. Twenty-seven girls from Camp Mystic are still missing. Communities are grieving. Families are waiting for news no parent should ever have to wait for. This has devastated their community and we are feeling the heartbreak worldwide.
Please take a moment to pray 🙏
Pray for the family and friends of those whose lives have been lost.
Pray for those who are still missing.
Pray for the parents and loved ones that share the extreme emotions that are felt with this uncertainty.
Pray for the survivors who lost everything.
Pray for the first responders still out there searching.
Pray for every single person affected by this.
The heartbreak is everywhere. And Texas needs us, our prayers, and compassion.
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18.
