Where are my advocates? Ohio has also targeted this officer who needs support. Attorney Mark Curtis on behalf of Jason Meade reports: On Dec 4, 2020, while working with the U.S. Marshals SOFAST task force, Deputy Meade saw Casey Goodson recklessly waving a handgun with an extended magazine inside his vehicle, pointing it at other drivers and then at Meade himself. Meade pursued to investigate this felony-level threat, clearly identified himself as law enforcement in his marked tactical vest, and repeatedly ordered Goodson to drop the gun. Goodson refused, entered a fenced yard still armed, and then turned and pointed the gun directly at Meade. Fearing for his life and the lives of others, Deputy Meade defended his life and fired.
A gun was recovered from Goodson.
Deputy Meade has fully cooperated with investigators from day one, has no criminal history, is a decorated veteran, and poses no flight risk or danger to the community. He will plead Not Guilty.
The evidence will show Jason Meade acted reasonably, lawfully, and in line with his training and U.S. Supreme Court precedent (Graham v. Connor).

🚨 LINE OF DUTY TRAGEDY — HONORING A FALLEN HERO 🚨

In a heartbreaking scene, officers walked in a solemn procession as they escorted the body of an Alhambra Police Officer killed in a violent crash that occurred at the end of a pursuit 🚔💔

👮 Officer Alec Sanders, just 28 years old, had been with the department for only eight months. He had gone to work Wednesday night to cover a shift for another officer — a powerful reminder of his dedication, service, and selflessness 🙏💙

Flags lowered, sirens silent, and hearts heavy — the law enforcement community, family, and supporters gathered to honor a brother taken far too soon.

💙 Back the Badge Wisconsin stands with the Alhambra Police Department, the Sanders family, and every officer mourning this devastating loss.
