Aural Grooves / Madison Music Review

Building a community of active music lovers since 2007. Music production, festivals, tours, PR/promotions, record label and artist management

We started Madison Music Review as a way to share with you our recommendations and enthusiasm for upcoming shows and further listening. We hope to be a small force in building the community of active music lovers in the greater Madison area and encourage attendance at high quality local music performances… We’re not trying to be a one-stop listing for every show in Madison. Instead, we want our readers to trust that any show we recommend is one that we are truly excited to attend ourselves.

Sorry to share the news that LIVIA MATTOS and her band have to cancel their show tomorrow :( Livia and her band are still waiting for their passports in Brazil! The band had applied for premium processing of their visa applications, and with passports submitted for stamping, and still waiting weeks after the date they were supposed to receive them.

Needless to say, this whole situation has been devastating for the band, and to many of the presenters involved in bringing this world class music group to the United States.

BUT the show must go on! I (DJ SpinCycle) will be at the decks for a 3 hour vinyl set, featuring an assortment of wax goodies from around the globe. Early "Happy Hour" show from 4:30pm-7:30pm, $10. All funds from the show will be donated to a non-profit working to help bring international artists to the US.
