The Frequency Live is excited to announce the lineup for this year's Big Frequin' Weekend, taking place October 9th and 10th at Gamma Ray Bar in downtown Madison.
Friday's show starts with Madison's Which Songs, bringing the COC style heavy. Next is Chicago's Lollygagger, a band that rips you apart with precision riffs and fury while simultaneously making you laugh, perhaps even think a little. Right when you think you have a chance to breathe Iowa's Druids return to Madison to consume what might remain of your soul with their own brand of rock metal wizardry. Burying night one in style is perhaps Madison's loudest act, Plant. Earplugs recommended.
Saturday's event begins with another debut; Madison's QANZ open with a groovy and experimental show. Returning for the second year is Pink Frost, playing the sandwich slot. While not as sludgy and heavy as Plant, they definitely give them a run for their money in the volume department. Buzzsaw harmonic riffs and driving rhythm. Again, earplugs recommended. Headlining this year's BFW, returning to Madison via Chicago after a long absence is Dead Rider. It's impossible to describe what this band does. Is it jazz? Is it blues? Is it rock? Is it hip hop? Is it experimental? Yes. All that and more. One of TFL's favorite acts to work with over the years, we are overjoyed to bring them back.
