University of Wisconsin-Madison's first and only student-run music publication. Emmie serves the 40,000 students on campus as well as the larger Madison area.

Emmie, UW-Madison’s music magazine, enables students to discover, compile and promote a diverse selection of music in a bi-annual publication. With a staff of diverse writers majoring in everything from Journalism to Biology, Emmie appeals to a wide variety of music lovers. Whether students pick up the publication for its eclectic graphic design, trusted music suggestions or humorous concert reviews, one thing remains constant: Emmie unites a community of music lovers and supports talented artists.

Alien Metal, the 28th studio album by King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, released on August 14th with little fanfare. Alien Metal is set apart by diving deeper into an EDM sound than their previous work. The album is a unique treat, but while Alien Metal is fun, it frequently dips into mediocrity, making it far from a standout among King Gizzard’s vast discography.
