Food allergies change the way families experience everyday life. Until you personally love someone navigating severe food allergies, you may never fully understand the constant fear, stress, and attention to detail it takes just to safely eat a meal outside the home.

I have two nieces and one nephew with food allergies, and it has truly opened my eyes. One thing I deeply respect is how Culver's handles food allergies with such care, compassion, and professionalism. They make it possible for families with allergies to go out to eat together and actually feel safe — and that is something incredibly rare and meaningful.

Today while ordering, I asked for no bun on my burger. Instead of assuming, they kindly asked if it was because of an allergy or just preference. That small question spoke volumes to me. It showed awareness, compassion, and genuine concern for someone’s safety.

Because the reality is… if it IS an allergy, they take extra precautions. New gloves. Clean utensils. Careful preparation. Attention to cross contamination. Every step matters when you’re protecting a human life.

Cabin life in Northwest Wisconsin just got a little more “wildlife reality check.”
We installed a Ring doorbell to keep an eye out for people coming and going… but instead, we got a surprise visitor of a very different kind. A black bear decided to stop by, ring the bell (or at least make his presence known), and take a curious look straight into the living room windows like he was checking if we were open for late-night service.
Unfortunately for him, the kitchen was closed and there were absolutely no midnight snacks on the menu. Just a few humans trying to pretend this is totally normal cabin life.
It’s one thing to expect deer, squirrels, maybe the occasional raccoon… but having a black bear casually window-shopping your living room definitely wasn’t on the list.
Safe to say: the Ring camera is doing its job… we just didn’t realize we’d be screening visitors like this. Ring ***yLife

I needed to use up 2 bananas and didn’t have a mixer… so I had to come up with something that wouldn’t destroy my arm while mixing 😂
We LOVE peanut butter, I had a little bit of quick oats left, and I knew I had brown sugar… so here we are 🙌
These cookies are soft, simple, and come together so easy. And you can see in the pics why I say to flatten them a little—they bake faster and the texture is SO much better 👏
