As many in the area know, there have been several cases of Giardia locally, more than is usual any given year. The Health Department has said they have found 50% commonality between those diagnosed and customers at El Tapatio. However, some are saying they have been diagnosed and did not eat there. Construction work on the awning at the Hopkins County Madisonville Public Library has been put on hold until next month, according to an email from library staff.

The work has been put on hold due to the hot weather, they said.

The library will be open regular hours until further notice. It will be closed Friday and Saturday, July 4-5, for the Independence Day holiday.
