Hey friends. 💕

I wanted to hop on and let everyone know why I’ve been a little MIA the past few days.

Early Thursday morning around 2:00 AM, I woke up with a sharp pain in my left side. At first it would come and go in waves, but by 6:00 AM the pain had become constant. By 7:00 AM, we were headed to the Emergency Room.

The pain was so intense that my blood pressure was through the roof, and for someone who barely takes Tylenol, the fact that I accepted every pain medication they offered says a lot. 😅

After a CT scan with contrast, they discovered a large kidney stone that was completely blocking the flow from my kidney to my bladder. I was admitted to the hospital, and on Friday they were able to go in and break up the stone and remove it.

Unfortunately, they had to leave a stent in place for 5 days. If you’ve ever had one, you know it is incredibly uncomfortable and gives you the constant feeling that you need to go to the bathroom. Not exactly my idea of a good time!

While doing the CT scan, they also found something unexpected: a cyst on my right o***y that’s about the size of a baseball. That’s something I’ll be following up on with my doctor this week.

As scary and uncomfortable as all of this has been, I am choosing gratitude. Things could always be worse, and I am so thankful for the doctors, nurses, my family, and everyone who has checked on me. I’ll add photos so you can for yourself the difference before and after the procedure and how the pain is gone afterwards.

If you could send up a few prayers for healing, wisdom, and good news at my upcoming appointment, I would truly appreciate it.

Thank you all for your patience while I’ve been away from the craft table. I love this community more than words can say, and I plan to be back crafting with you all before we know it.

Stay crafty, friends. 🦋💕

100 days.
100 prompts.
100 tiny moments turned into something meaningful.

Yesterday marked Day 100 of The Little Things Journal Project, and today we officially close our journals with one final prompt… a journal closure.

Honestly, I don’t even know if words can fully explain what this project became.

What started as a simple creative challenge turned into hundreds of beautiful pages, late night crafting sessions, encouragement, laughter, vulnerability, creativity, and connection. You all showed up for yourselves in ways that truly inspired me every single day.

And if you’re feeling behind…
If you haven’t finished…
If you haven’t even started yet…

Please hear me when I say this:

You are NOT too late.

I will be leaving the project page up on my website so anyone can begin their 100-day paper bag journal journey whenever they’re ready. Creativity doesn’t expire. There is no deadline on joy, healing, or creating something with your own hands.

I’m still playing catch up myself, and honestly… I think that’s part of the beauty of this project. It was never supposed to be about perfection. It was about consistency, creativity, community, and finding joy in the little things.

Today, I also want to celebrate our Top 10 Showcase chosen by me and the admin team. Narrowing this down was nearly impossible because every single person brought something special to this project.

These creators inspired us with their imagination, heart, storytelling, and willingness to share their creativity with this community.

Thank you for letting us peek into your journals, your ideas, your art, and your hearts over these last 100 days.

I am so proud of this community. I already can’t wait to see what creative adventure we go on together next. 🦋

Hey y’all 💛

Since we didn’t get to go live last night, tonight we’re combining two prompts for the Little Things Journal – 100-Day Paper Bag Journal Project.

✨ Day 96 – Color Gradient
✨ Day 97 – Library Card & Pocket

Tonight we’ll be playing with color gradients and blending techniques to create movement and visual interest on our journal page, and then we’ll be creating a vintage-inspired library card pocket to add a functional and interactive element to the journal.

These two prompts work beautifully together; colorful layered backgrounds paired with cozy vintage library vibes 📖💛

We’ll be layering, experimenting, and just enjoying some creative time at the craft table together.

If you’re following along with the project, grab your supplies and craft with me. And if you’re just discovering the challenge, it’s never too late to start.

It’s Freebie Friday, friends… and somehow, we’ve reached our very last one for the Little Things Journal 100-Day Paper Bag Journal Project.

I honestly don’t even know how to put into words what this journey has meant to me. What started as a simple creative challenge turned into something so much bigger and a place where we slowed down together, created together, encouraged one another, and celebrated the little things that often get overlooked in everyday life.

For our final Freebie Friday, I wanted to create something cozy, crafty, and full of those handmade details we all love.

This week’s freebies include:

• Paint swatch cards
• Fabric swatch squares
• A page of pretty button cards

These pieces are perfect for adding texture, layering, and those sweet little finishing touches to your journal pages.

You can download everything now on the 100-Day Project page at BrittCreateStuff.com.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for showing up day after day, sharing your creativity, encouraging one another, and allowing me to be part of your journals and your lives for these past 100 days.

Whether you completed every single prompt or only managed a few pages here and there, I hope this project reminded you that creativity does not have to be perfect to be meaningful.

The little things matter.
The messy pages matter.
The memories matter.
You matter.

Thank you for making this project so special. I truly don’t think any of us will forget it.

Now let’s finish these last pages together. 🦋
