Dennis Overman. A longtime singer/songwriter and “wandering minstrel,” Dennis brings along his guitar and harmonica for protest song story time. We have a lovely chat punctuated by live performances of select original songs. We talk about song writing, life, love, war, evolution, and how his daughter Gretchen saved him from the Vietnam War draft. Join us.

Political organizer/activist Helen McCloskey returns for a conversation covering the basics of US Civics and voting in a way that is interesting, inspiring and easy to grasp. We also talk about the relationship between Israel, Palestine and the U.S. from Helen’s own experience as a community organizer, staff-member and traveling companion to Rep. Pete McCloskey. Helen and Rep. McCloskey made several trips to the Middle East, met with politicians, diplomats, ordinary people, and worked with Arab-American community organizations in the States since the late 1970’s. She shares her informed insight on not only the politics, but how to emotionally and spiritually persevere. Join us.
