Dear Father God,

Thank You that Jesus came for me so that I could be with You for eternity.

Thank You for the offering of Your Holy Son so that I can enter into Your presence and spend time with You as I read my Bible, as I pray and as I worship You.

Thank You that You bless me as You call me to take my Sabbath rest each week.

I ask that throughout this week, I will rest in Your presence and that I will experience Your peace.

I ask that today You will help me to do what is good...

He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justly, To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?
Micah 6:8

Please help me to walk humbly with You and to keep my eyes open to Your majesty which I can see in Your creation, especially in the people around me.

I pray that the peace of Christ will cover me, and that the abundance of Your Joy will fill me.

Lord, I lift up those who are struggling, suffering and vulnerable today.

I pray that You will use me to show love and compassion to all people.

I pray that You will fill me up and send me out so that I can love others as You have loved me.

In the powerful name Jesus I pray,

Dear Father God,

Holy is Your name.

Thank You Jesus for your promise of my Helper...

And I will pray the Father,
and He will give you another Helper,
that He may abide with you forever—
the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
John 14:16-18.

May I go through this day filled by Your Holy Spirit.

I thank you that Your mercies are new every morning...

Through the Lord ’s mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not.
They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22-23

Thank You Jesus for the life that you give to us...

I have come that they may have life,
and that they may have it more abundantly.
John 10:10

I pray for those who are experiencing loneliness and loss this Christmas, that You will be their Comforter and their Healer.

I pray for those who are feeling vulnerable and lost, that You will be their Guide and their Shelter.

I pray for those who are anxious and uncertain, that You will be their Good Shepherd and their Hope.

Thank You Emmanuel, God with us, for being the one and only God, our God who comes to us.

Thank You for surrounding me with reminders of your goodness—in the beauty of this new day, in the love of my family and friends, and in the hope of the coming spring that You promise even in the heart of winter.

With all my gratitude I pray, in the holy name of Jesus,

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for pursuing me with Your love and Your grace.

Thank You for making a way for me to be restored to You.

Please help me to love You and to love all others...

Jesus said to him,
“ ‘You shall love the Lord your God
with all your heart, with all your soul,
and with all your mind.’
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like it:
‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
On these two commandments
hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
Matthew 22:37-40

Remind me Lord, to look for Your will to be done in all circumstances...

Your kingdom come. Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Matthew 6:10

You are the God who comes to me in unexpected ways.

May I sense Your sacred presence in the midst of the ordinary events of each day.

Please help me to walk with you in humility...

I desire more of You, Lamb of God, in my life, in my home, in my city and in this world.

Dear Lord God,

You spoke to the Prophet Elijah in a 'still small voice'...

And after the earthquake a fire;
but the Lord was not in the fire:
and after the fire a still small voice.
1 Kings 19:12

In my hectic life, may Your Holy Spirit come to me today and quiet my heart so that I can hear You.

Please remind me to look for Your divine image in the people around me...

So God created man in His own image;
in the image of God He created him;
male and female He created them.
Genesis 1:27

Let me be transformed into Your image...

But we all, with unveiled face,
beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord,
are being transformed into the same image
from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
2 Corinthians 3:18

Please help me to seek You first, and Your Kingdom and your righteousness, my Lord. Matthew 6:33

As I seek You, please guide me so that I might find You. Proverbs 8:17

Help me to be a bearer of Your light. Matthew 5:14

Thank You for promising to guide me by Your righteous right hand....

So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10

Dear Lord Jesus,

I thank You for coming to us as Immanuel, God with us, as Isaiah prophesied and as Matthew wrote in his Gospel...

Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.
Isaiah 7:14

“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
Matthew 1:23

I pray for those who are lonely this Christmas season, for those who are suffering, that You would visit them as Immanuel, God with us.

I pray that through their pain, that Your presence would wash over them, covering them with Your joy and peace.

Please lead me by Your Holy Spirit, that I may be available to bring Your love and joy to those around me who may be lost or struggling.

Give me the ability to see the world around me through Your eyes this Christmas, and please teach me to be more generous, as You are to so generous to me.

Please use me as Your hands and feet, so that Your goodness may be known wherever I go.

This Christmas, let the name of Jesus resound in my heart and in my life.
