Dear Lord God,

Thank You for this new day.

Sometimes the world seems dark; problems abound and stress creeps in; please help me to see Your light and to shine Your Light of Life brightly today...

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying,
“I am the light of the world.
He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness,
but have the light of life.”
John 8:12

I want Your light to shine through me, as Jesus taught us...

“You are the light of the world...
Let your light so shine before men,
that they may see your good works
and glorify your Father in heaven."
Matthew 5:14-16

When I face darkness, Your Word tells me that "weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning."
Psalm 30:5

I have hope in Your promise of joy which gives me strength for this day...
..for this day is holy to our Lord.
Do not sorrow,
for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
Nehemiah 8:10

Please show me how to walk in Your Light, so that I will shine your light brightly wherever I go.

Today I lift my hands toward Heaven and I pray that you will help me to be your ambassador of peace and love to everyone I meet...

I want everyone everywhere
to lift innocent hands toward heaven
and pray, without being angry
or arguing with each other.

Dear Lord of All Creation,

I welcome Your Lordship over my life, over everything including my time, my talents, and my treasures.

I freely give myself to You and to Your work, knowing that You will take care of my needs...

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19

Please forgive me for when I have not obeyed You in my life and in my giving.

Dear Lord God Almighty,

Though man-made shelter may fall in storms and the fury of nature and wars, nothing can destroy the strong and everlasting shelter I have in You.

Please let me dwell in Your shelter today and everyday.

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
Psalm 91:1

Please let me rest in Your Almighty shadow.

You are the all powerful, Almighty God.

Thank You for keeping me safe and for calming my spirit.

I pray for those who are being battered by storms of nature and the fury of wars and of evildoers.

Please protect each one.

Please provide for their needs.

Please comfort those who have lost their shelter, their possessions, and provide comfort for those who have lost their loved ones.

May every need be met through Your grace and mercy.

Dear Heavenly Father,

When I consider the people around me, their anxiety, their complacency, their lifestyles, their attitudes and actions, I ask You to show me how to help them, to introduce them to You, to lead them to experience Your love, peace, hope and freedom.

Please work through me today.

Please fill me with your Holy Spirit and use my life to be Your witness, as Jesus taught us...

But you shall receive power
when the Holy Spirit has come upon you;
and you shall be witnesses to
and to the end of the earth.
Acts 1:8

Please use me as Your servant for Your Kingdom, which is much greater than anything I could do by myself.

Dear LORD GOD, strong and mighty,

I cling to You as my protector, You are the King of glory...

Who is this King of glory?
The LORD strong and mighty,
The LORD mighty in battle.
Psalm 24:8 A Psalm of David

Each day, there are different battles which I face, and different battles which my brothers and sisters in Christ face around the world.

Some battles are in the mind, involving temptations, strongholds and thoughts.

Other battles are physical or external involving health, circumstances, relationships or enemies of Christ.

Some battles are life-threatening and others are life-altering.

Whatever the battle, You are The Lord Mighty in Battle (Psalm 24:8).

Please give me wisdom, peace and strength as you protect me and guide me in the daily battles of my life.

I lift up my Christian brothers and sisters throughout the world and ask You to help each one with the battles they are facing today.

Please meet every need and protect every life, spiritually, emotionally and physically.

I trust You as the Almighty God who created all things, who knows all things, and who can do all things.

You are the Lord God who loves me and who gave his life for me to save me from my sins. I am forever grateful and I love You.

Dear Father God,

For every problem, every anxiety, every temptation, every sin in my life, I have a Deliverer – my Lord Jesus Christ.

Thank You my Lord Jesus for Your sacrifice and for Your love for me.

Thank You for coming for me, for forgiving my sins and for pulling me up...

He also brought me up out of a horrible pit,
Out of the miry clay,
And set my feet upon a rock,
And established my steps.

Please help me to stand sure-footed and steady upon You Jesus, You are the Rock of my salvation.

Please keep me from falling into the mire of the world around me.

Today, I need a fresh start.

Please anoint me for the tasks which You have for me today.

I join my Christian brothers and sisters and pray these words of King David...

The LORD is their strength,
And He is the saving refuge of His anointed.
Save Your people, And bless Your inheritance;
Shepherd them also, And bear them up forever.
Psalm 28:8-9

Please anoint me today that I may have...

a joyful and devoted spirit,
