Information and stories are still a little scattered about the outage, but if you have an experience you’d like to share (whether instructive, humorous, cautionary, just interesting, or what have you) please post below! The comments may end up as part of reporting for next week, so indicate whether you’d be ok being quoted. A lot of people are sharing experiences, and you are welcome to use this space to do so!

Obviously, we had to relocate from the office in order to finish the paper, so we aren’t in a good position to provide much local communication right now.

But what we’ve heard so far is that a transformer has blown at the substation, and the timeline for a replacement or power supply is between 9pm tonight and 8am tomorrow.

We will let you know when we hear anything on that front. We do know that the Event Center is open and warm for all who need it. Make sure to check on your neighbors, friends, and those in your area.

In addition to the Event Center, the Hospital is powered and able to provide medical assistance.

Dispatch should be up for emergencies.

Please be careful and stay safe out there, and help each other out as much as possible. This account will be powered and can communicate with who ever might need to be contacted.

Well, it's always something...

In the last minute shuffle to work in some content that needed to be placed for this week, our Turkey coupons ended up on back-to-back pages. Obviously, this affects the ability to use both sides, and it's my fault--I should have caught it before we shipped to the printer.

Anyone would would like an extra page so that they can use both sides of the coupons is welcome to come in to the office and get one.

Sorry again, but don't hesitate to stop in and get an extra set of coupons.

Correction:
News in Brief this week listed the owner of Sage Valley Soaps as Sarah Jensen. The owner is Lydia Hall, and we apologize for the mistake. A longer story on Hall's business will be in next week's paper clarifying the information.
