To whom it may concern,
Over the past 2 years, I have been working on original musical projects that are authentic, creative, and meaningful. A different proposal within the music industry, yet accompanied by projects with a foundation of social awareness, inspired by everything we have collectively lived through in recent years. Regardless of the outcome, my goal has always been that each project carries a purpose, not just noise or another release.
Since I began the SUARE project on this very day, September 17, 2021, I made the decision to share the best of myself, represented through music. Each project is an act of expression: happiness, sadness, good times, and other genuine themes with a positive intention. Meanwhile, society has chosen to consume morbidity, hate, lies, and misinformation. Ugly truth.
Because of so much negativity, I’ve searched for other ways to continue sharing my music and the best of myself without feeding into that same harm. Unfortunately, every path demands an active presence on social media and digital platforms. Still, I am certain that music does not stop with me, nor with my daily life. Without music, I would have already lost my mind. That is why, as of today, I have 4 complete projects in different genres: Drum and Bass, Techno, Afro House, and Deep House. These projects may see the light in 2026, but it will ultimately depend on how these platforms behave in the coming months, as I refuse to feed content into the circus of ignorance.
Social media and music platforms are no longer spaces of creativity or transparency, but of pure appearance. Not to mention the harm caused by the misuse of Artificial Intelligence, or the damage to the industry by money-driven platforms like Spotify. This is why I want to focus on other aspects of my life and give myself a break from these toxic digital spaces. I also encourage anyone reading this to consider doing the same, even if only for a while. Taking distance helps to clear your mind and reconnect with what truly matters: peace, health, and happiness.
I hope that as a society we can heal a little and ease the disaster that dominates the internet today. My music and my experience may serve as an example for others, because in the end, we are all in the same boat. We should not wait for governments to solve these problems, because all they will do is continue taking advantage to increase negativity and misinformation. Real change begins with each of us, in how we choose to use our time, our voice, and our energy.
Before closing, I want to share some of the projects I’ve created, where music goes beyond sound and becomes a message. Each one was born with the intention of reflecting our society, our emotions, and our experiences, transmitting something meaningful beyond the composition itself. These projects are my way of speaking about truth, awareness, and human connection, using music as a vehicle to inspire and spark reflection.
All One — In a conversation, a wise man points out how the United States programs society by color and race. He explains that to believe is to doubt, and that inside we are the same; don’t be fooled by appearances.
Dystopia — A revolutionary message from Benjy Melendez, founder of the Ghetto Brothers. A Puerto Rican voice explaining the harsh social reality that was lived in New York, which ironically hasn’t changed—only dressed up better.
PE ERRE — Pirulo urges Puerto Ricans to demand respect and live with the valuable resources of our land. He makes a call to the diaspora to return. It highlights the strength of Puerto Rican identity, above the mediocre history imposed on us by the government.
El Loco — Pirulo explains the reality of migration and displacement in Puerto Rico. He points out the ignorance of many who do not recognize the value of our land.
Playa — Pirulo motivates Puerto Ricans to live, leaving problems behind and enjoying our beaches and their blessings.
Estamos Bien (Naomi) — Connected to mental health, I shared the response of a being of light to the realities faced by both. In spite of everything, we are well.
I should also mention these releases, which although instrumental, express more than the average human being and bring a positive energy to our spirits: Utopia, Sol Taino, and Oasis.
I encourage you to listen to these projects. My perspective is clear. I hope you find something within them that resonates with you as well, because meaningful music is not consumed, it is lived.
