Submissions opened April 9th, 2024, for US & international shorts and features in Drama, Horror / Sci-fi, Documentary, Comedy, Experimental & Animation, and Music Videos. The top awards for Best US & International Features will be $10,000, and Best US & international Shorts will be $5,000.

We won!! IN THE SUMMERS won GRAND JURY PRICE US Competition and our incredible and talented director won for best director Alessandra Lacorazza we are so proud of your work, your love and your vision! It takes a village to make a movie and this one is dear to my heart. I got to work with a lot of my friends and on the way made new ones. I am so overwhelmed with joy. we did it!!!! Thank you to our beautiful community for showing up for us. This is the new wave of cinema. We are here to stay. Latin vibes! Latinos, Latinas, Latine, Latinx lets go! The cat is out of the bag! Today is the big day. Proud to announce the official launch of our entertainment company LUZ Films. A year ago and Cristobal Güell silently have been building a new echo system a true home to showcase diverse Latino stories and storytellers is TV and Film. With out first movie being IN THE SUMMERS in US competition at Sundance this the beginning of a revolution. We are committed to telling exciting, unique and captivating stories of our sister and brothers like you haven't seen before. Stay tuned for what is next! Thank you to all of the artists that are a part of LUZ, producers, directors, writers and actors for your talent, support and friendship. We will illuminate the path for the next ones to come. The cat is out of the bag! It has been an incredible journey. We are headed to the Sundance Film Festival. Our film IN THE SUMMERS is playing in the US dramatic competition. I am so honored to be a part of the producing team. We did it! So proud of our writer/director Alessandra Lacorraza on her directorial debut thank you for your talent, vision, and grace. Can't wait for the world to see this beautiful story and the powerful performance and acting debut of René Pérez Joglar . Thank you for the equally amazing performances of .mehiel Mil gracias to the crew you are the best. Huge congrats to our partner's Lexicon we are going to Sundance! Thank you
