I'm still mildly obsessed with the handheld long exposures out of this 9 year old Olympus camera.

I can only get about 1 second handheld exposure on my 50mm lens on my Nikon Zf which is rated at 5 stops stabilization which makes sense (1/50*2^5) However, on the old Olympus which is rated at 5.5 stops I'm getting 15 second exposures! I could probably push it further but who wants to hold a camera still for more than that? I was amazed when Olympus claimed that one of the limits to their stabilization was the Earth's rotation! Think about that for a second. The new full frame Nikon sensor has 4 times the sensor area though so it's tough to choose which one to use. First shot is Olympus(3s), second is Nikon(1s).

About 4 hours of star trails stacked from ~500 images last night.

I only had about a half hour to shoot yesterday but the waves were the largest I have ever seen in NJ. Nature was showing off. I flew the drone a bit too but with some off the spray and splash shooting up 50 feet I couldn't get close. It was nice to see so many people up there witnessing the sheer power from this storm.
