Out on a no-water emergency in Haymarket, VA, we pulled a high-amperage pump sitting 375 feet down and found wires worn down to bare copper from improper taping and missing wire guards. Diagnosing a tripped breaker and pulling a 26-year-old well pump in Gainesville, VA! 💧

The breaker kept popping, and an ohm meter test confirmed a dead short in the pump motor sitting 230 feet down. We pulled the old unit, replaced the worn wiring with waterproof heat-shrink splices, added new wire guards and a torque arrestor, and topped it off with a brand-new sanitary well cap to keep bugs and debris out of the well!
