We’ve had a great week celebrating Christmas with our seniors, employees and even families that needed a little help this season. Every senior received Christmas cards, fruit bags and activity sheets as well as their Christmas meals. We helped prepare necessity boxes and toys to over 60 families in the community this Christmas that needed a little extra help to get through the holiday. Our seniors and this community is our top priority and we are so excited for this new year and new opportunities to come. 🎄 and thank you to the Card Making Club for some of these amazing homemade cards!

Our annual Christmas Party at the senior center was a success today! The theme this year was Christmas in Italy 🇮🇹 we had Fazolis, Italian Cream Cake, and an Italian “Pass The Present” game all while wearing our berets. We were shaking and groovin those calories off during chair Zumba with Tammy Jones. Lots of laughs and many memories were made today! We hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas season this year! 🎁🎄⭐️✝️ oh, and come check us out!

We are so excited for our Christmas Dinner Party this coming Tuesday. Tammy Jones will be coming with her nursing students from the Clay County Vocational School to do chair Zumba with all of our seniors. We will also have special guests from the nursing home coming and being part of this special day. All seniors 60+ are welcome to come and be apart! 🎄⭐️

We are thrilled to announce our partnership with the “Thrive Together” initiative to help expand food access for seniors, children and families in Clay County this coming year. Community partners, lawmakers and nonprofit leaders from across the state have all had a hand in bringing this initiative to our county to help fight hunger. We are determined to make sure that every vulnerable senior, child and family never has to worry about going hungry or where their next meal will come from. After this year’s crisis for our seniors concerning their meal and service cuts, this has been a blessing for our county’s elderly and now vulnerable children as well. We are so thankful that Volunteers of America Mid-States, Kentucky State Senate President Robert Stivers, CVS Health, God’s Pantry Food Bank, 1 Clay County, and many more community leaders and organizations has helped make this possible. We are excited for the New Year and the new possibilities we have been given to expand these resources. This doesn’t stop here, we hope to continue growing this program and helping the most vulnerable in our county with the support of community groups and donors.

Go out and support them with this dinner today! We partnered with them before Thanksgiving to distribute and deliver over 120 Thanksgiving food boxes to families that were struggling this holiday season. Support the churches, businesses and organizations that are giving back to our community and it can be a cycle of never ending provision for everyone. 🥖🐠

Let us bring you a warm meal on a cold day! Please remember us TODAY and get you a good lunch! We can deliver or you can pick it up! Help support the youth in the church and our yearly teen camp! We can’t do it without YOU! 🐠🎣
