The Taphouse in Center Harbor, NH for a handful of pints & a excellent double smash burger. While looking up places to check out in the Lakes Region, this spot popped up & had a good beer list with a Notch Brewing Biergarten on the premises. The Taphouse itself has its own bar & restaurant inside with ten different beers from Notch Brewing on draft. Outside in the biergarten you can find the same Notch Brewing beers & also a bunch of guest taps including Mast Landing Brewing Company, Oxbow Brewing Company, Hudson Valley Brewery & more. There was a good variety of styles offered in the Notch Brewing line-up & the guest taps with something for everyone including sours, IPA's, lagers, Kolsch, wheats & a pilsner. I was able to find one new Notch Brewing beer I hadn't had & a few other awesome local crafts so let's get into it. 🍻🍻🔥☘

I started off at the inside bar with the FESTBIER from Notch Brewing that had a good mix of malt & sweetness, a excellent beer for the season. My second pint was the SAPA Lager from Schilling Beer Co. It was a excellent above average lager with hints of lime & lemon on the finish, but I wouldn't expect anything less from Schilling. For my third pint I scooped the PEACH SILHOUETTE Sour IPA from Hudson Valley Brewery, a good balanced sour/IPA mix with neither one outdoing the other. In the past year or so the sour IPA style has finally started to find itself, I used to not be a fan, but I have had some awesome ones recently. My final pint was the PIWO GRODZISKIE Gratzer from Schilling, a smoked wheat beer that was my favorite pour of the visit. There was so much happening in my mouth here with every sip of this beer. 🍻🍻🔥🔥🏆

I scooped the "Taphouse Smashburger" with two 4oz patties, bacon jam, arugula, carmies, B&G pickles, American cheese, sriracha aioli on a potato bun with fries. There was a lot happening here, but it all worked, the burger was delicious & I wish I had stepped it up to a triple or quad. I'm a huge fan of bacon jam or bacon onion jam on my burgers along with pickles & carmelized onions so this burger personally spoke to me. 🍻🍔🍔🔥🔥

There is a lot going on with the restaurant, bar, outside biergarten & patio. You can find seating inside & out with all the options including bar seating, tables, hightops with picnic tables & more outside on the patio. I'm not sure the history of the building The Taphouse is in, but I'm sure theres some being in downtown Center Harbor, NH. The owner Sam was there, he was super friendly & accommodating chatting beer with my friend & I for a bit. A really cool spot for sure well worth checking out for a good beer selection & of course that burger. This marks the third Notch Brewing biergarten I've been to this year with the Notch Biergarten by Beans & Greens in Gilford, NH as well as the Salam, MA taproom. Definitely give this place a look, The Taphouse is definitely worth checking out. Cheers! 🍻🍻🔥🍔☘✌♥️🍺

ALTO BODY EXPERIENCE DIPA from Hoof Hearted Brewing 5¹/² out of 10*

CINNFUL APPLE Cider from Angry Orchard 6/10*

COASTLINE CHROMATICS DIPA from Equilibrium Brewery 7/10* 🏆

OPTICAL DELUSIONS DIPA from Spyglass Brewing 6¹/² out of 10*

JACK-O PUMPKIN ALE Yam Beer from Samuel Adams 6¹/² out of 10*

Not the strongest round with these beers, but the COASTLINE CHROMATICS stood out for sure. I'll have a third round for the week in a few days, cheers! 🍻🍻🍻

Lost Shoe Brewing and Roasting Company in Marlborough, MA for a flight, a pint, a taster & a shot of espresso. Having had a few beers from these guys way back in July of 2022 during a tasting, I had been interested in checking out the taproom & brewery ever since. Fast forward to now & I'm making my way out that way checking out new spots & Lost Shoe Brewing popped up. I have always been a big fan of coffee on my brewery trips to stay awake & alert so the fact they had a bunch of options here they roast themselves was perfect. Looking back on my Untappd, the three beers I had in 2022 were DIPPED AND DRIZZLED Porter, ADDISON BLOCK Pale Ale & the WALKER BUILDING Triple IPA. Alright enough about the past, let's get into the six beers I had at the brewery. 🍻🔥☘🍺🍺

I started with a flight of four different IPA's from these guys with a few New England IPA's & a DIPA. My first taster was the MEET ME AT DO WOPS IPA, the first of three NE hazies in the flight & a great start with plenty of familiar citrus flavors. My second taster was the very wordy PINTS AND PANELS 15 YEAR ANNIVERSARY NEW ENGLAND IPA that was again a really dank & above average IPA, nothing bad to say so far. My third taster in the flight was the CROSSROADS OF NEW ENGLAND: CITRA & TRIUMPH IPA that was good, but the weakest of the IPA's that I had IMO. my fourth taster was the FONIO A FRIEND DIPA, a excellent haze bomb that would make any New England hop head happy. I then grabbed a full pour of the BIER Kolsch that was a great light beer to was down that round of haze I just had. For my last beer I scooped a taster of the SIZE 6 Belgian Dubbel, it was everything a Belgian Dubbel should be without trying to hard. 🍺🔥☘🍻🍻

All your usual seating options here with plenty of bar seating, tables, hightops, couches & more. The place was super packed & there is plenty of parking in the garage right next door. Definitely a diverse tap list with around ten different styles. Theres a fun view of the brewery from the taproom which I requested some more pics of, but never got a reply back unfortunately. They serve breakfast sandwiches that I'm sure go great with a pint & a espresso shot. A fun visit for sure with a few different styles they offer under my belt. Cheers! 🍻🍻🔥☘🏆✌♥️🍺

Starting the week off strong with a good line-up from a recent tasting & pints on my own. Mostly IPA's this round with various styles represented & a trash beer I figured I'd try that I ended up thinking was decent. 🍻☘🔥

COPPER'S HOP TRIPEL IPA from Ommegang 6¹/² out of 10*

VACUUM TUBES IPA from Trillium Brewing Company 6¹/² out of 10*

TENT SITE 5 DIPA from Little Willow Brewing Company 7/10* 🏆

LOST KIWI NEW ZEALAND STYLE IPA from 603 Brewery 7/10* 🏆

LABATT MAX ICE Freeze Distilled Beer from Labatt USA 5¹/² out of 10*

Winners here include that dank TENT SITE 5 & the LOST KIWI NEW ZEALAND STYLE IPA. I love New Zealand hops so this beer was for me. 🍻🔥☘💪✌♥️🍺

BEER OF THE WEEK goes to this dandy, the SPECKLED HAZE IMPERIAL IPA from Northwoods Brewing Co in Northwood, NH. This was delicious & made me wish I could have had more than the 6oz taster I got during a share with a couple friends during Sunday's Pat's game against the Dolphins. I haven't been to Northwoods Brewing since April 2024, so this could be a sign to get my ass back there. 🍻🍻🔥☘

Had a great time, beers, a triple smash burger & a couple delicious cocktails at Frog Rock Tavern in Meredith, NH. I was looking for some fun spots open on Mondays & while checking out the Lakes Region's areas offerings, Frog Rock Tavern popped up. The tap list here wasn't huge, they had a lot of New England staples including the PALE ALE from Tuckerman Brewing Company, PUMPKINHEAD ALE from Shipyard Brewing Company, BLUEBERRY ALE Fruit Beer from Moat Mountain Smoke House & Brewing Co. & more. They also had BUD LIGHT, KONA BIG WAVE & MODELO on tap as well. The cocktail menu looked great to with all the pumpkin, apple cider & maple gimmicks here on display. I told myself I would embrace the pumpkin beer & alcohol this season & become a pumpkin spice slt so let's get into it. 🍻🔥☘🍸🍹

I started off with one of my favorite New England hazies to get on draft, FIDDLEHEAD IPA. This beer is just always consistently dank on draft wherever I go. I then moved onto the PUMPKIN SPICE ESPRESSO MARTINI which the bartender made to perfection. I've always enjoyed a espresso martini, but the pumpkin spice took it to the next level. I then scooped the BLUEBERRY ALE from Moat Mountain Brewing Co. that was super refreshing & a great beer to wash down the martini. My last drink was the APPLE CIDER MARGARITA, it was excellent as well with the cider not being to overpowering, allowing for the tequila to still come through. 🍻🔥🍸🍹🍺🏆

For my meal I grabbed "The Rock Smashburger", but like the glutton I am I added a third patty to be a 41 year old edge lord. This burger was everything, perfectly cooked & packed a ton of flavor, kudos to the chef with this beast. That homemade chipotle mayo hit the spot on top of my burger. My friend grabbed the "Frog BLT" which he really enjoyed as well. The place itself is a lot of fun to look around at with a ton of cool stuff lining the walls everywhere, even the mens room. There was all the seating options here with a decently sized bar, hightops & tables. Excellent drinks, food & service made for a damn good time here the two plus hours we chilled at the bar. I can't wait to get back in the future, highly recommended checking them out. Cheers! 🍻☘🍸🍹✌♥️🍺

TRAGICALLY HOPPED DIPA from Great North Aleworks 8/10* 🏆

I spotlighted these two different styles of IPA's to show the difference between a New England hazy & a Imperial style IPA. The Fidens beer is super juicy, hazy & cloudy being a nice & potent 10%ABV. While that Great North is more focused on hop bitterness, flavor & aroma at a deceiving 8.5%ABV. 🍻🍻🔥☘✌♥️🍺
