These would make some great stocking stuffers for sure with a few great breweries here. Instead of cookies & milk I'm going to leave out some pot brownies & a 4-pack of that pastry sour. πŸ»β„πŸŽ…πŸŽ„

BRAAAAAAAAINS - RASPBERRY & GUAVA Pastry Sour from Drekker Brewing Company 7.5/10* πŸ†

TROPICAL FUSION DIPA from Spyglass Brewing 6.5/10*

DOUBLE FEATURE DIPA from Stoneface Brewing Co. 7/10*

Definitely all good stuff here, but damn that BRAAAAAAAAINS - RASPBERRY & GUAVA was heavenly like most of the stuff they do. Both other DIPA's were delicious as well, but I was feeling sour I guess. 🍻πŸ”₯☘✌β™₯οΈπŸΊπŸŽ…

πŸŽ…πŸŽ„β„ Happy holidays & another fun hidden craft beer gem in New Hampshire, the Pint Sized Pub inside Bert's Beer & Wine in Manchester. They had an unexpected awesome tap list that I was a bit to eager to checkout. I was able to score three new beers I hadn't tried on draft with some excellent options available including many different styles like porters, scotch ale, lagers, brown ale, pilsners & more. I've been wanting to make my way here for awhile now since I heard about it opening over a year ago, then a friends reminder about the current tap list felt like a great excuse to finally make the trip. They had a handful of can pours available to add to the options, but let's get into what I threw down. 🍻🍻☘☘ πŸŽ…

My first pint was the SUNDAY SAUCE Pilsner from Stoneface Brewing Co., it was a delicious Italian Pilsner that was super drinkable & light. My second beer was a 5oz pour of the GRAMOPHONIC Lager from Brick & Feather Brewery. It was a good average Pale lager, but I got the end of the keg so I'm not positive I got the experience from it I was should have. My final pour was a pint of the CALIGULA DIPA from Brasserie du Bas-Canada, this beer was amazing & I'm happy I got it from the tit because a can wouldn't have done it justice. πŸ»πŸ†πŸ”₯πŸ”₯ πŸŽ…β„

There was eight draft lines & five can pours available with a handful of food options as well like pretzels & chili. There was only four seats at the bar, but there was plenty of tables & some hightops. They had a all-in-one arcade machine that played a ton of the classics in the taproom as well. Cool little spot with a small, but fun revolving tap list that I'll have to keep on my radar for the future, cheers! 🍻🍻πŸ”₯☘✌β™₯οΈπŸΊπŸŽ…β„

BEER OF THE WEEK goes to this awesome stout JOYFULLY STUF'T from Prairie Artisan Ales. I have a weakness for pastry stouts & sours & Prairie makes some of my favorite stouts that I've been enjoying for over half a decade now. This was a bourbon barrel-aged 13.7%ABV with tons of coconut, oreo, almonds & chocolate. πŸ»β„πŸŽ…πŸ”₯☘✌β™₯️🍺

Some of that weekend goodness here to finish off the week on a high note. I've been starting to get into & enjoy wild ale's recently so when I saw there was a awesome collaboration I jumped on it when I saw a bottle. One of my favorite New Hampshire breweries & a couple great Maine ones represented here. 🍻🍻πŸ”₯❄

BIG BANG (2025) Barleywine from Barreled Souls Brewing Company 8.5/10* πŸ†

LONG STORY Wild Ale from Stoneface Brewing Co. in collaboration with Tributary Brewing Company 8.5/10* πŸ†

Both of these were excellent beers for the styles they repped & well worth checking out for a bottle share with a friend or two. I suggest just splitting it with one other so you get the most out of these awesome brews. πŸ»πŸ»πŸ˜‹πŸ”₯β„β˜˜βœŒβ™₯️🍺

Well you got me there for sure, sounds like a challenge to me. Heading to check out the Pint Size Pub at Bert's Beer & Wine in Manchester, NH for a few beers & a quick bite later today. It's been a minute, but I've been meaning to check this place out. 🍻πŸ”₯☘✌β™₯️🍺

Auburn Tavern in Auburn, NH for a few pints & a burger. I've been driving by this place for a year now since I moved closer to the seacoast, but had never stopped in. In a attempt to save money for the holidays I have been hitting some local places closer to home & Auburn Tavern was fifteen minutes away so it was a perfect destination. These guys are open seven days a week & have a menu that seemed to be designed around Greek & American offerings for the most part. My expectations were low for the tap list here, I figured it would be the bare minimum usual suspects, but I was surprised to find a couple beers I hadn't had including their house amber ale. They had some local favorites on draft as well including WINNI ALE from 603 Brewing & the IPA from Great North Aleworks, let's get into what I drank though. 🍻πŸ”₯β˜˜πŸΊβ„

My first pint was the BATTLE AXE IPA from Kelsen Brewing Company, it's a New Hampshire staple & I'm always happy to toss one back when I see it on draft. For the second pint I scooped a pour of the house beer called COME TO PAPA AMBER ALE from Berkshire Brewing Company. This was a excellent red ale that was super drinkable, refreshing & malty. The WINTER WHITE ALE from Samuel Adams was my final pint & another beer I hadn't had yet. It was a delicious white ale & was full of citrus with hints of nutmeg & cinnamon. 🍻🍻πŸ”₯β˜˜β„β„

I grabbed the Triple "B" Bacon Bleu Burger with fries for my lunch. It was pretty much what I expected from a burger here, definitely a good average burger for the price, but nothing I'll dream about eating again. The bartender was working the bar, lounge & dining room by herself & covering that much area can sometimes take away from the service, but she still did a great job. Theres all the seating options here including tables, hightops & a decently large bar. Cool spot to check out & the red ale house beer is worth having for sure, cheers! 🍻🍻🍻πŸ”₯β˜˜β„βœŒβ™₯️🍺

Brewery sidequest(s) πŸ»πŸ»πŸ—‘πŸ›‘

Stopped through a couple of my favorite breweries in the area recently to check out some new pours from them. A couple differing styles between the two, but I enjoyed them both, let's check it out. (I would have done more breweries, but I took a arrow to the knee) 🍺🍺πŸ”₯☘

ARNOLD HAMMER Hard Seltzer from Sunstone Brewing

DAYMAN'S REVENGE DIPA from Backyard Brewery & Kitchen

There is so many breweries in this area, around 30+ within 20 miles or so of these two places. I'm lucky enough to live within 50 miles of 50+ breweries, I feel truly blessed. πŸ»πŸ»πŸ˜‚πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ”₯☘

A few delicious beers for the mid week. This time around we have stuff from Oklahoma, Texas & New York to check out with a couple styles including stouts & a IPA. 🍺🍻πŸ”₯β˜˜β„

THE BIG LEBARRELSKI (2025) Stout from Pinthouse Brewing 8/10* πŸ†

ARCHED HORIZONS IPA from Beer Tree Brew Co 6.5/10*

GRAND HAZELNUT RESERVE Stout from Prairie Artisan Ales 7/10*

A friend got a box of Texas beers in a trade & there was a crowler inside. The crowler could have easily been old or lost all carbonation, but that THE BIG LEBARRELSKI (2025) was within a few days fresh of being canned & was better than expected being perfectly sweet with a ton of coffee flavor & boozy. 🍻🍻πŸ”₯β˜˜πŸ†βœŒβ™₯️🍺

Flag Hill Distillery & Winery in Lee, NH for a flight of assorted liquor & a glass of something red. In a attempt to hit some new fun local spots I saw Flag Hill was less than twenty minutes away & a no brainer on a Saturday for a visit. These guys have been around since 1990 doing their thing with twenty five plus years now under their belt. The property here is pretty large with the winery, distillery & tasting room taking up enough space to do a tour of with a guide or a self-guided tour around the property. Both a distillery & winery in one it was the perfect balance of styles to try. They offered a flight of five with a detailed menu accompanied by the flight card where you could choose a mix of wine & liquor or just get a flight of one of the two. There was a good amount to choose from making the choices difficult, but I decided to start with a flight of five different liquor options & finish with a glass of red wine. πŸ₯‚πŸ·πŸ₯ƒπŸΊπŸ»

My flight of five spirits started off with a brandy called the GRAHAM'S GRAPPA, a delicious grape brandy that was smooth & had some bite to it for my first taster of the day at 45%ABV. My second taster was the STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY, this was intense & full of notes of butterscotch & toffee. The third taster was the BREAKFAST BOURBON, it had a ton of flavor with notes of espresso, caramel & more. This was definitely the most subtle of the three whiskey/bourbon's I had. My fourth taster was the WANDERLUST - PORT BATCH #1, this was the STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY I talked about above, but aged three years in Flag Hills port wine barrels. It was different, with notes of cocoa & dried plum. The last taster I scooped was a CRANBERRY LIQUEUR, it was super sweet & tart, made with Massachusetts cranberries. For my last beverage I grabbed a glass of the FLAG HILL RED wine, it was good with hints of raisins, cherry & spice, but a little more buttery than I prefer. 🍷πŸ₯ƒπŸ”₯β„β˜˜

There was not a big amount of food options, we chose to get the three cheese platter & it definitely paired well with both the spirits & wine while easing the harshness of the bourbon. The grapes & olives on the cheese platter were perfect to eat between sips of that FLAG HILL RED. The dining room was really comfortable and inviting with the bottle store right down the hall. There was only table seating that I saw inside, but there was a small outside seating area as well for warmer weather. Great place & I'm glad I checked it out, well worth swinging through for a wine & spirit flight for sure, cheers! 🍻🍷πŸ₯ƒπŸ”₯β„β˜˜βœŒβ™₯️🍺

A couple beer companies from two states including Vermont & Maine. I've been to each brewery & definitely cannot wait for a excuse to return to them both. I'm due back in the Burlington, VT area to check out a few breweries I couldn't make it to last time I was there in late 2023. 🍻🍻🍻

SON OF SAPPING MAMMOTH IPA from Maine Beer Company 7.5/10* πŸ†

ALIEN HYMNS & STONER FABLES (2025) Stout from Burlington Beer Company 7.5/10* πŸ†

Both of these were great examples of the quality these two places put out. Maine Beer Company has the gimmick of releasing everything in bottles which I've always enjoyed & excels at IPA's. I just wish they released more new stuff to stores. Burlington Beer Company has a awesome yearly stout flight I suggest grabbing if you find yourself there. Cheers! 🍻πŸ”₯☘✌β™₯οΈπŸΊβ„πŸŽ…

BEER OF THE WEEK goes to this perfect blonde beauty the DELIRIUM BARREL AGED SOUR BLONDE from Delirium Brewery. I'm always about trying a style I haven't had & this one didn't disappoint. I like blondes (yes those ones as well) & sours, but neither are my preferred styles. This combination was delicious though & definitely contained flavors of both, although I tasted more sour than blonde. A fun beer worth checking out with a friend or two during a tasting for sure, cheers! 🍻🍻🍻πŸ”₯☘✌β™₯️🍺
