Frogg Brewing in Swanzey, NH for a a few 12oz pours & a couple tasters to cover the style gambit here. It had been since November of 2021 since I had been to Frogg Brewings previous taproom so I was due to check out their new location & refamiliarise myself with the beers. This new location was much larger & had much more seating with a really nice heated glass patio area where I sat on one of the last beautiful weekends before it gets really cold. During my previous visit to the old brewery & taproom I got a pint of the flagship IPA the F BOMB DIPA which I thought was a excellent hazy DIPA. This visit I made sure to try five different styles including another IPA style, a sour, Festbier, brown ale & a amber lager, so let's get into it. 🍻🍻πŸ”₯☘🐸

My first 12oz pour was the OLD MAN ALE Amber Lager, a crisp, malty & refreshing light lager perfect for the first beer of the visit. My second 12oz was the FESTBIER, a delicious representative of the fall staple. My last 12oz pour was the 580 American IPA, it was hoppy, dank & somehow light bodied all at the same time. I finished my trip here with a couple 4oz tasters including the DOWNTOWN FROGGY BROWN American Brown Ale & the BIG NIGHT BREW Sour. The brown was a good average brown ale while the sour had a little more going on with it, both were good though & I'm happy I was able to try five different styles & beers. 🍻🍻🍻🍺☘☘🐸🐸

The owners here were super cool & offered me a quick tour when one of them recognized me from my socials. (The pics are featured below) All the seating options here including tables, hightops, bar, outdoor seating & a heated glass enclosed patio section which would be great during the snowy season coming up. They had a small amount of beer to go for home or tastings with friends later & a really fun merchandise section. My girlfriend bought me a nice Frogg logo baseball cap & the owner hooked up a few stickers for home, so beyond the fun memory I'll also have something to remember it at home, cheers! 🍻🍻πŸ”₯β˜˜πŸ†βœŒβ™₯️🍺🀘🐸

I have had a exceptional beer tasting experience this past two weeks with some awesome dark beer (covered a lot of them in my videos the last couple weeks as well) & every other style under the sun. With that being said let's get into it with the first of three (1/3) beer reviews for the week. 🍻🍻πŸ”₯☘✌β™₯οΈπŸΊπŸ†

Had a really fun brewery & distillery tour around Boston & Dorchester, MA with the excellent Sip Happens Tours. The owner & driver John got our group to Long Live Roxbury, Dorchester Brewing Company & Bully Boy Distillers safely & played some trivia & more on the bus between stops with some merchandise prizes as well. We had flights set up for everyone at each brewery & a awesome informative tour of the distillery we went to with a handful of liquor to try. Highly suggest checking these guys out, I know you can book them for different tours around the Massachusetts area. 🍻🍻πŸ”₯☘✌β™₯️🍺🚐

Damn, Drekker Brewing Company hits hard with the pastry sours they brew & this badass ZOMBIE BRAAAAAAAAINS was no exception. It had lemon, lime, cherry, pineapple, passionfruit, sea salt, lactose & vanilla as the gimmicks here which somehow all worked together. I'll be checking out a few different sours from them throughout the week. 🍻🍻πŸ”₯☘✌β™₯️🍺

This beast was awesome, FEAR OF MADNESS Triple IPA from Great Notion Brewing was everything a good triple should be. The booze taste was almost non existent, making it taste as smooth as a regular IPA, but with just a little bite at the end. Highly recommended checking this one out if you're looking for something with a high ABV%, but still drinkable. 🍻🍻🍻πŸ”₯☘✌β™₯️🍺

Bully Boy Distillers in Boston, MA for a handful of different varied liquor tasters & a fun tour. Only my second distillery & first for the page, I was pumped to drink as many different options as I could. The tour started with a quick breakdown about the the founders & owners, the Willis brothers. The short version of the history is that they have spent their lives mastering the art of distilling & have a lifelong obsession with making excellent spirits. I was fresh off of two breweries before hitting this place, so I was already toasty & adding liquor definitely made my day more interesting. During the tasting we tried five different spirits including three variants of their AMARO bitter liqueur which I'll get into below. 🍷🍹🍸🍺☘

The standard AMARO is a riff on the classic bitter liqueur with a combination of over twenty-six different botanicals. The bitterness comes from a combination of hops including Amarillo, Cascade, Citra & Galaxy. The second AMARO offering was the AMARO RABARBARO, this time it was characterized by rhubarb root, Black Cardamom, cloves, bitter orange & more. AMARO ROSSO is Bully Boys take on a red bitter with bitter orange, lemon, exotic herbs like Damiana from Mexico & Bessobella from Ethiopia. These three were all delicious & different, but the AMARO ROSSO was my favorite, there was a lot happening with it. We then went onto the AMERICAN STRAIGHT WHISKEY which was what I came to try & it didn't disappoint. I cannot remember what the last taster was of, I got caught up in the information & forgot to write it in my notes. One thing I do remember is that it was hella harsh & woke me up. πŸ€˜πŸ˜…πŸΈπŸ·β˜˜

This was the last stop on the excellent Sip Happens Tours & the perfect way to put a end to a great three spot tour & day in general. When we pulled up to Bully Boy Distillers it was super unassuming & the entrance could be easily missed if you weren't familiar. The tour was super fun & the tour guide was super educated, not only in the product & liquor we were drinking, but also the history. There was a ton to look at everywhere & I tried to capture as much as I could in my pictures. I took home a bottle of THE RUM COOPERATIVE, a collection of five different blends from five different countries. I have had it neat a few times now at home in a chilled glass & it was great. They have a full bar as well with plenty of original drinks made from the liquor they're distilling in house. A awesome spot for sure & well worth the trip if you're in the area. 🍸🍷🍹🍺🀘πŸ”₯☘

This was a fun one, BEER OF THE WEEK goes to this completely different, but still delicious STIEGL-HAUSBIER NR. 49: GINDER Gin-style IPA from Stiegl out of Austria. I'm not big on gin at all, but I couldn't say no to a style I hadn't tried with a beer from overseas my friend brought back from his Oktoberfest travels in Germany & beyond. The gin taste was there, but it was subtle enough where it worked with the bitterness of a IPA. Strange for sure, although I'm just happy I got to check it out. 🍻πŸ”₯β˜˜πŸ†βœŒβ™₯️🍺

A really fun visit to Dorchester Brewing Company in Dorchester, MA for a flight & a couple pints of some goodness. The second visit on the Sip Happens Tours & a new brewery to me, I was really pumped to check this place out. I hadn't heard much about these guys or had any of the beers they offer so everything was new to me. That is my favorite way to go into a new place, with zero expectations. I could tell the place was going to be a good spot when I walked in & saw how bright & visually busy everything was. They had twenty or so beers on draft with a nice variety of styles including a Hefeweizen, porter, multiple types of IPA's, lagers, pilsners, sours, goses, wheats & more. Sometimes having to many taps & styles can be a detriment, so I was interested to see what they were best at. I couldn't realistically try them all in one visit, but I did get a few of their different styles in. 🍻🍻πŸ”₯☘

The first taster in my flight was the FEST BEIR, a really clean & malty light bodied good fall beer that would be perfect for a pint. The second 4oz was the 1000 SPIRES Czech Dark Lager, a favorite style of mine, this one was just okay & pretty average in my opinion. My third taster was the ORANGE YA GLAD Milkshake IPA, it was a good milkshake IPA, a style that's really hit & miss, but this one hit all the marks it's supposed to. YOU DRIVE ME HAZY IPA was the last taster in my flight, it was a really good, solid New England hazy which I assume is a go to for a lot of the regulars. I then moved onto a pint of the PIE FIGHT! Yam/Pumpkin which was excellent & perfectly spiced with cinnamon & nutmeg. The rimmer I got with it really took it over the edge as well. My final pour of the visit was a pint of the 7.6 AFTERSHOCK DIPA, a west coast IPA that I tossed back in a few swigs, it was super sweet & malty, probably my favorite beer of the six I had. πŸ»πŸ»πŸ†πŸ”₯β˜˜πŸŽƒ

This place is pretty big with a really fun upstairs & a roof deck with all the seating options everywhere including tables, bar seating, hightops & a outside area. The view from the roof deck was awesome & definitely made for a fun drinking experience checking out the city. Plenty of beer to go here for tastings with friends later or to enjoy at home. I grabbed a hot chicken sandwich from the BBQ restaurant inside that was pretty good, but the chicken was a little tough & stringy. Definitely a really cool spot & well worth checking off my Massachusetts brewery list. I'm sure I'll find a excuse to return in the future, but until then, cheers! 🍻🍻πŸ”₯β˜˜πŸŽƒβœŒβ™₯️🍺

The last round (2/2) of beers for the week before we start a new batch this week. This one has a few different styles, including a sour IPA which I used to personally dislike, but over the last couple years the style has begun to be perfected. I hope everyone has been enjoying the video reviews a couple times a week as well, figured I'd mix up the content for you. 🍻🍻πŸ”₯☘

AMORPHIA Sour IPA from Hudson Valley Brewery 7/10*

RARE FOG Triple IPA from Abomination Brewing Company 8/10*

SLAMMER SOLD SEPARATELY Sour from 603 Brewery 7/10*

CHEESECAKE MARTY Double Pastry Stout from Prairie Artisan Ales 8.5/10* πŸ†

Definitely a well above average round here, but the CHEESECAKE MARTY stood out above the rest with at a thicc & delicious 14.9%ABV that was pretty much liquid cake. 🍻🍻πŸ”₯β˜˜πŸ†πŸŽ‚πŸ°
