New Scott Waters record out... our 4th together, showing a lot of growth. I'll always think fondly of my longtime friend & collaborator Bruce Gatewood when I listen to this one... Bruce completed the lead guitar tracks on this record just before unexpectedly passing away. He was always able to read my mind and pluck out just what I was looking for... my direction for him at the 1:00 mark in "Dreaming" was "Stiff upper lip... like the trumpet in Masterpiece Theater..." And he did it! He will be impossible to replace.

Polyurethane does its thing. Evidence of my older son... he was 3 then, he's almost 16 now!

A couple weeks later: starting to restore the floors. First we had to countersink approx 20,000 nails on our hands and knees. When we started sanding, we realized we hadn't sunk them all deep enough... so we did it again. It took about a day to strip the paint from each ceiling beam, on a ladder using a power planer over my head. My abs were ripped at the end of that week. It was such hard work that I carefully excluded the future closet area.
