As of April 30th, we will be closed. I refuse to become a source of gun registry in the state of Colorado, so I am voluntarily surrendering my FFL util such time as Colorado stops this nonsense!

03/31/2025

Due to the State pf Colorado passing a new rule requiring all FFL Dealers to obtain a state permit to engage in the sale of fi****ms and ammunition to the retail public (Which includes all Gunsmiths - even if you don't buy or sell fi****ms to the retail public) and all the nonsense associated with this rule, I will no longer be in the business of repairing fi****ms for you. Unfortunately, this is driving many of us who serve you, the responsible, law abiding, hunters and sport shooters, out of business.

Thank you for the many years of patronage, and I have enjoyed working with all of my loyal clients. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Hunting seasons are quickly upon us. If you haven't checked your guns, it is a good time to do so. If you wait too long we won't be able to get your gun ready in time for the hunt.

This cap and ball 1858 New Army Revolver Carbine was brought in totally locked up with corrosion and rust after having been fired and then put away without being cleaned for two years. These photos are after 2 weeks of work to get it freed up and then a total clean and l**e for Black Powder.

Due to the increasing number of scam, robo, telemarketing, and nobody there calls we have decided to stop using the land-line as a contact source for our shop. To speak with our gunsmith, Terry, please call 1-(970)394-5229. Thank you for understanding and we look forward to speaking with you.

Have you checked your gun safe lately? If not, it would be a good time to pull out those unused guns that have just sat collected dust and grime. Get them cleaned up and tuned so they are ready if you should need them.
Going hunting in the Fall? Now is the time to have your guns checked out. If you wait much longer all the smiths will be swamped with work and not able to get your guns finished and back to you in a timely manner.

This old .22 was brought up from Window Rock ,AZ a couple of years ago. It had a lot of sentimental value for the owner, so we agreed to refurbish it for him. The last two photos show the completed job.

It has been a while since I posted anything here. I have been busy with multiple guns being brought in for repairs and refurbishing.
the business has grown over the past couple of years and we can now offer some expanded service options. We are getting into drilling and tapping for scope mounts, as well as starting to offer cutting and threading barrels. As always the price will depend on the scope of the work needed.

If you haven't had your guns checked out recently Hunting seasons are just around the corner. Give us a call to set up a time to bring your guns by.

It has been a while since I posted anything on here so here goes.

I have been staying pretty steady over the past few months and been able to keep a decent turnaround time. Most waits were due to waiting for parts. Generally repaired guns have been returned in one to two weeks.

If you have a need, please call and we can set up a time for you to come by and get it taken care of.

God bless to all, hope to see you soon.
