✨ Remembering Tori ✨

At just nine years old, Toriyanna Da’Shae Smith’s bright spirit touched countless lives at USD 383: Bluemont Elementary and beyond. After her courageous battle with cancer, the Bluemont community came together to honor her memory with a special memorial—a bench surrounded by love, light, and reflection.

•Thanks to the vision of her family, Principal Beth Neitzel, school social worker Jessica Sholin, and USD 383, a design for a memorial bench at the school’s playground was put together. The project was designed and built by John and the crew at Manhattan’s re:done, and the materials were donated by generous local partners, Star Lumber & Supply, Midwest Concrete Materials, Steel and Pipe Supply Company Inc., Taussig Landscape, United Rentals & MTS Custom Coatings, Inc.

This beautiful tribute at Bluemont Elementary stands as a lasting reminder of Tori’s joy and courage. 💜
