Itās 2026, and the iconic South Central neighborhood that Craig Jones (Ice Cube) has called home forever is facing its biggest threat yet: aggressive gentrification. A slick, ruthless property developer plans to bulldoze the entire block to build luxury condos, erasing decades of history and community. Craig, now the de facto elder statesman of the porch, refuses to go down without a fight. He decides to throw the "Last Friday" block partyāa massive, all-day cookout and concert designed to raise enough money to save their homes and celebrate their legacy one final time.
Word of the event spreads fast, bringing back familiar faces from near and far. The biggest surprise is the return of Smokey (Chris Tucker), who rolls back into town claiming to be a changed man, though his chaotic energy and questionable decision-making suggest otherwise. Also joining the effort are Craigās paranoid cousin Day-Day (Mike Epps), now running a questionable security firm, and the diminutive, flashy Money Mike (Katt Williams), who has reinvented himself as a social media influencer. As the grill heats up, so do old tensions and new problems. The quartet must navigate a minefield of neighborhood drama, saboteurs hired by the developer, and their own hilarious incompetence to pull off the event of the century.
