🇺🇸 Iran Missile Strike Damages U.S. Warplanes at Jordan Air Base

An Iranian ballistic missile strike on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan damaged multiple U.S. military aircraft, marking the first reported case of American fighter aircraft being damaged in the latest attack.

One A-10 Thunderbolt II, known as the Warthog, suffered severe damage to its wing after being struck during the Iranian missile barrage. Around eight F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jets also sustained minor damage, although they were reportedly returned to service.

The damage was reported after Iran launched a large ballistic missile attack against U.S. forces at the Jordanian base. Most of the incoming missiles were intercepted by air defenses, but at least some reached the base and caused damage to U.S. aircraft.

The incident highlights the ability of Iranian ballistic missiles to pe*****te defenses and inflict damage on U.S. military assets despite the large-scale interception effort. No U.S. personnel were reported killed in the latest attack.
